Casuals were all shit track suit tops, crap trainers, terrible jumpers and terrible hair do's.. skinheads, suedeheads and mods now that was style with quality music..
Well the club have arranged a Spanish night so how but all of the old Sudeheads, mods and skinheads name a home game and an away game, turn back the fashion clock but wearing the outfits again ! If the club could play some skinhead reggae before the game then all the better
Even in the late 80's there were lots of "old skinheads/ suedeheads" in the North Stand. Always thought they were cut above the casuals on the style stakes but expect PPF would disagree!
As a young kid at the time, that was that look, as well as the skins and suede head look that I used to think looked very cool. Seeing a Brighton support like that was a real sight. Somehow kids dont have the same swagger that they did then, or Ive just got older!
There is that book about Brighton " a casual look" but I always thought the Suede Heads, Skinheads and Mods had more style so when the Goldstone had casuals instead then I thought it a shame. The Doc Martins outside the North Stand and Skinheads in their socks is a memory of the Goldstone
