It amazes me how you think. The criminal has somebody standing up for him, rather than the victim.
Is it really ok to be obscene, and direct that obscenity at a section of society, in a public event? At what point, does abuse become acceptable?
It doesn't matter what you or I think about his abuse, the witnesses & a steward reported it, the police, charged it, and magistrates found it guilty according to the law of this land.
If you don't like the laws about public order, then lobby your MP.
He was a hero until he was caught drinking and carousing, and so dropped from their national team. He's also done time in a Turkish jail for driving offences.
