I agree that they are entitled to, but it doesn't help the player or the team perform better or play without fear so it's an own goal. Maybe the better the support the better the performance?

Barnes had the balls to step up to the plate and take a penalty in front of a full arena and much of it would have been baying for his blood if he missed. He could have just as well been volunteering for his own execution so a lot of credit goes out to him and he deserved MOM just for that.
