I sort of agree with this. In reality it means nothing, it is more of a gamble than anything. If it fails then he is young enough for us to get a return on the investment, if he turns out as good as he is rated then who knows.

He may be old, but my god at the play off final at Wembley I have never been more confident of any player taking a penalty. That's why he had about 6 offers this summer.

I doubt that very much. The entire "Gus" and "Poogate" episodes this summer show that even though you have a great ground, and a decent set up, you are fundamentally still a very small club. A lot of good progress was undone then, and made your club look very amateurish.
