Checked it out last night on the back of a few quid off via Living Social. Had some decent enough razor clams, a really well gooked calves liver dish, a wickedly good chocolate tort and the plonk was alright. Maybe a bit on the expensive side at full price but good enough. 80 quid...
Langalees is cheap and cheerful, the food isn't top qulla but it IS presented with a smile and that makes a big difference at 10am.
I like Mange Tout on Trafalgar Street and really like Billies on Upper North Street.
So the Troll's Pantry are moving in to the Hobgoblin at the weekends, should ensure that the pub is pretty full during the spring months. Pat on the back for me as i guessed this correctly earlier in the thread.

Those black pudding scotch eggs are incrdeible.
I also visited Trolls Pantry yesterday, went for the Imperial. One of, if not the best burgers I've ever had. Will go back time and time again I should think. The Stinky Breath one sounds amazing but I kept it simple yesterday. 9/10

Tried Langalees next door to the Hobgoblin for the first time for a fry up yesterday. £6.50 for two bangers, two bacon, beans, mushrooms, hash browns, cherry tomatoes, toast and a cup of tea or coffee.
Not the highest standard of grub I've ever come across but absolutely bang on at the price...
