I'm not saying it is a direct result, eg there is standing ergo there is violence. But even if it is indirect, the powers that be will take it into consideration. Football stadia in this country have been sanitised or, to put it another way cleansed of morons who think it's about going and...
Ah, so the old 'put your finger your ear, tightly close your eyes and sing ding a ling a ling' syndrome when you hear something that doesn't support your case!

I never said ignore the decisions made by the Police. If there was allocated seating then you wouldn't have had that number of people getting in anyway plus those that had arrived early would not necessarily have congregated in the central paddock. The dynamics of the situation would have...
Why do you think it is only 14 euros to get in. Isn't the German model based on the fact that those in the seats are subsidising the cheaper terracing. If the people that want to stand at the Amex were prepared to fund the construction costs, legal costs etc through increased ticket prices...
I believe one of the arguments is that you get more people in a safe standing area than if they were seated however the safety cert is for a certain capacity so there would have to be planning applications or whatever to get that altered. Also I believe PB alluded to the fact that the...
The problem seems to be that there is a minority who are up for confrontation which will probably derail any legitimate campaign at Brighton for Safe standing. At the moment the law doesn't allow it and PB has already indicated it isn't on the agenda for the foreseable future.
Horse and cart mate. The rules would have to be changed before safe standing is introduce (although it might be trialled elsewhere in the run up to a change).
How short sighted some people are. PB gave a fair minded account of why the club are not going to consider safe standing for the foreseable future. It seems that 3 months later we are past the 'foreseable future' and therefore the club should reconsider the position again!!!! Makes you wonder...
Out of interest, in your opinion, had the Leppings Lane been all seater and everyone with a ticket had an allocated seat, irrespective of the decisions made by the Police leading up to the tragedy, do you think 96 people would have died?
