The is definitely a game for players who can get behind them, beat the offside trap, or shoot from distance. They focus on keeping position and formation and allow opposing players to move with the ball.
When I watched Leics preseason, at Sven's invitiation in Stockholm, they clearly left their marker when defending and just got into a formation. It worked, but they aren't that focussed here. They don't track all the spaces players can run into, and then look bemused when an opposing player gets...
Managers don't always need to be on the spot for matches, if they can get a feed from the game or watch a recording of it later - the evidence is still the same.
S'hampton are relying on a long passing game which Leics are basically letting them do - as LCFC's marking is, tbh woeful.
But Sadhampton are very crap as a footballing side here, they can't beat their man on the ground and they can't shoot either - even with free space and time to line them up...
