You're probably right that's what I think they might do. I just think Collingwood looks in really poor form, although tell him the next game is his last and he'll probably scratch out a ton as he has done before.
I suppose the only other batsman in the squad is Morgan and he hasn't been that...
I hope you're wrong too. This would have given the Aussies a big confidence boost and has probably swung the momentum in their favour. I think we need to change at least Collingwood as he looks woefully out if form, I'm not sure the selectors will though, they are often reluctant to drop him...
Well at least it keeps the series interesting and serves us English right for boasting and writing the Aussies off prematurely. England don't often do well with the favourites tag and the Aussies never give up.
Yes it was a very good catch but Collingwood is in the side to score runs first and foremost. So far he has hardly scored any and has looked out of sorts. Stil should've been a Si gle on that 5th ball but doesn't take away the fact he's not in form.
Not sure I agree, re the pitch. The key part was johnson's spell in the first innings which was more to do with late swing which counted for our middle order, we never really recovered from there.
Depends what the Aussies get really and whether they can create scoreboard pressure. There's still 3 days and a session to go yet but I feel that lead of 81 could be more significant than it sounds.
Yep. He seems to have so much time when playing a shot, often the sign of a class player. Just hope he has the mental attitude sorted now. Having said that he'll probably get out in the minute.
Oh dear, time to see what England really are made of now. Need to get as near to their score as possible to at least put them under some sort of pressure when they bat.
