fair point, but englsh grounds are SO different to the ozzie strips. The ockers are used to perth and we arent. I hope finn and tremlett can provide the support and tight lines that Jimmy A needs to get our wickets. As Hailsham has said, short and tight is better than short and wide!!!
I'm not convinced. Banging it in short isnt the asnwer, especially to hughes and ponting who both cut and pull very strongly. I feel Jimmy A needs someone rock solid at the other end to help him get wickets and am worried that Tremlett will try and bounce it off his toes and prove expensive.
very impressed with the bounce KP achieved in the 8 balls he bowled. I really hope Strauss keeps going with him and swan for a good hour before thinking about taking the new nut...
starts in 40 minutes. Watson will just be doing his hairgel, while Katich is having his leg/buttock rubbed. They will both be shitting themselves about Jimmy Anderson and Graeme Swann
why bother? their openers will go to the ground this morning not knowing if they are about to bat or not. Declare 10 minutes before the start and get them in
An immediate declaration seems absolutely essential - according to the weather forecast there is certain to be further disruption... which means with six sessions left we are assured of at least a draw. The aussies will be off at the first sign of any bad light so get them in in the morning...
