The Secret History - Donna Tartt. Think i must have previously abandoned it as it seemed familiar for the first 100 or so pages but just can't remember.
La Belle Sauvage - Philip Pullman. Nearing the end and had to put it down last night as I was home alone and got a bit scared. Not really had a book make me SCARED before.
Just finished True History of the Kelly Gang which is a quite incredible feat of writing. Highly recommend.
Now onto Man and Boy by Tony Parsons. Started well, worried it's going to all get a bit emotional.
I'm finally reading Rick Stein's memoir, which is alright even if he totally glosses over nearly killing his wife (to be at the time) in a drink driving incident.
I'm reading some Murakami book in which he bangs on about how dreamlike everything is as usual. Gonna finish the ****er tonight so I can move on to something else.
The Undergroud Railroad - Colson Whitehead.
Been a bit up and down with this but it's a great read and the way he manages normalise the brutality of slavery in the US is quite shocking. Recommended.
