Steve Wright regularly played Stephen Bishop tracks - no other DJ ever did. A class DJ, the consummate professional - hearing tracks now, you associate with SW playing them : like Bread, Bee Gees etc. We will miss him no doubt.
GD is not relevant, as I understand it. It's down to the results of the 2 matches between the teams that are on equal points - that defines positions if on same points.
I remember taking a Seagull Special to Blackpool - we were escorted from the station along the prom to the ground. A police horse got freaked by a sudden loud noise and completely lost its footing and fell over taking the mounted police rider with him. We were quite frightened - it happened (as...
Yes I was on that train too. Midweek and I think we got stopped at Reading?
The Seagull Specials were the first journeys I went on that crossed London and travelled north without changing trains. Great times - great food on board and travelling with the players - a teenager's delight :)
My one and only JustPark experience was for Villa Park (going for the Championship) - the parking space was inside the Police cordon and of course no amount of pleading would get us through. Great big con. Never used it again.
Spent around 50 mins in John Lewis Horsham and bought a new LG OLED TV - returned home and immediately double checked on www that their price was indeed the cheapest (Never knowingly undersold....) only to find straightaway that Richer Sounds was £125 cheaper. Rang JL and was told their long...
The first Hampshire wicket in the 20-20 match v SCCC was Vince caught by Bertie Foreman - grandson of the legendary Denis (SCCC & BHAFC). Huge congratulations to Bertie at the start of his SCCC career. The legacy continues.
Unless I am going blind, the Club have omitted Albion v Liverpool (scheduled for 7th October) from their list of fixtures? This will be on Sunday/Monday 8th/9th anyway because of the Europa League.
One of my footballing heroes - a real gentleman, wise and knowledgeable. The Chelsea team of the early 70s (in its day) was stylish and exciting to watch. RIP John Hollins, a lovely man.
Looking ahead to our European tour.... check your passport.....because your passport MUST have been issued in the previous 10 years from date of travel (even though it may well be valid and in date from an expiry point of view). Mine was issued on 9 Jan 2014 - expires 9 Oct 2024. So useless for...
If you aren't able to go, please let me know and we can co-ordinate getting the tickets put back on sale via the Club website - so hopefully I can buy them back! Faint chance I know...... Thanks
Disappointing - I am a Neal Maupay fan, hard working and a menace to opposition defenders. Great important goals, yes he misses a few (seemingly) sitters but he is a valuable squad player.
I managed to get ONJ's autograph outside The Dome after the Friday dress rehearsal of the Eurovision Song Contest - she was bubbly, radiant and smiling. A lovely genuine person, taken too young. So sad.
Very sad news - a true gentleman who supported us during the war years and fully grasped the nub of the story. Very fair in his interviews and always very kind to me. RIP Harry and thank you.
