I really dislike both Frank and Derby so I'll be backing Villa today. Dean Smith's a good manager and deserves a shot at the Prem.
Can imagine us looking at Bogle if they don't go up.
At the end of the day, the guy is a bit of a s**t but he's one of our greatest managers ever (best in my lifetime imo). His career has been a bit weird post-Sunderland but I don't doubt he'd be a superb appointment for a Championship club, money or not.
I think also what's worth noting is that most of these rival fans who are commenting on our situation have not watched us play this second half of the season.
Let's be honest they would not have tolerated this rubbish at their club.
Probably, but it depends entirely on who we bring in.
Chris may well have kept us up again next season, but I can't see us improving from being relegation scrappers to 'middle third' (which is probably our ambition for next season) under him.
Lovely man though, and whoever appoints him as...
Compared to most owners at this level, TB is Mr Football.
Potter is a massive risk, but an interesting risk. Personally I thought there might be one or two higher calibre managers available to look at, but in their absence he might well be the best pick.
He seems to tick a lot of boxes that...
He'd be a super signing for a Championship club, that's for sure. Honestly he's too good for Reading and QPR as they are currently, though him linking up with Baldock would be an interesting one.
I think everyone is underestimating the knowledge of those involved in the game. I'm very sure Steven Gerrard will have at least heard of Connor Goldson before he took the Rangers job, and even if he hadn't watched him, he would have had plenty of contacts who had scouted him multiple times.
It's a load of rubbish and not all conducive to 'entertaining' football or an 'anything-can-happen' league which it relies on in its marketing. In general the vast vast majority of fans and journalists I've seen associated with the big clubs have hated the idea of this, I can only imagine that...
As a Somerset supporter, living in Devon and having played against Dom Bess and many members of his family, I am extremely proud to see him doing well for England. A good lad and a fantastic all-round cricketer.
