    [Albion] Albion Women

The main issue is, yes, the Amex is just too big and they'd actually like to move to the Amex if crowds grow to justify it. I think if they could regularly fill the lower tier then playing at the Amex is justified. As for expanding the potential new stadium, Barber has actually talked about...

    [Food] The bread buttering pole

If I used butter, it would be both slices. I don't actually butter it much anymore, but I accept this does make me a criminal

    [Albion] Albion Women

Obviously this means nothing, but it did feel a lot busier than the Spurs game did.

[Football] Chelsea avoid failing FFP via loop hole

Yes, I don't love the PL clubs can still sell assets to related companies to balance FFP but the actual value doesn't seem particularly far fetched. I suppose the fact that Chelsea keeps the revenue streams could negatively affect the value.

[Albion] Who's the flairest of them all? GRAND FINAL- Knockaert vs Vicente

Vicente is the only Brighton player I've watched who looked like he was literally magic. I'd watch him and just not understand how he made the ball do what he did. And the fact his appearances were so sporadic and random really added to the mystique. It was like having a mythical creature in the...

    [Albion] Albion Women

Lewes do look like they'd require an absolute miracle to get out of it. There's a very slim chance given Reading and Durham play each other, but even then it's a huge ask for Lewes.

    [Albion] Albion Women

So in frankly awful news, Palace Women are 2 points clear in the Championship with 2 games to go. Promotion would see them play Brighton in the WSL next season. They play Lewes on Sunday at the Dripping Pan, who they will very likely beat. Their final game is against Sunderland, who are...

    [Albion] I'll never not care

Calais is about 5 miles closer to Faversham than the Amex is and I reckon you could drive from Faversham to Folkestone, get the car Eurotunnel, and be in Calais about 20 minutes more quickly than getting to the Amex (assuming the 35 minute crossing time is accurate).

[Football] Semi-automated offside to be introduced

Oh thank f***. Semi-automated, including the updated graphics for it, is significantly better

    [Albion] Catering whinge-again

Always get cheesy chips from the stand outside. Reasonable value by football ground standards, food is always hot and as fresh as you'd expect for a chippy, and the staff don't rotate seemingly every game. Not perfect, but it's good, a decent portion and beyond generally having a large queue far...

[Albion] Pub landlord banned from football matches after Athens punch-up

Having watched the video, can't really buy the self defence argument. The first one or two are certainly, but he then remains in place and throws punches of his own. Obviously understandable in the moment, but he's no longer defending himself when throwing punches from the Brighton side of the...

[Albion] 2024 Who's the flairest of them all? Round 1, Group B

Vicente was magic. He used to do stuff that didn't seem actually possible. Don't know I've ever seen another player in person who could receive a ball dropping from the heavens and just take all the pace off it like he could. Just frankly incredible If he'd been fit regularly he'd likely have...

[Albion] To Avoid De Zerbi Bashing - The Staying Up/Europe Tracker - season 2023-24 - Game 33 Update - 8 OVER

Great point, still odd to think we can (and often do) match up with the big spenders. I am hopeful that the return of Enciso may help us unlock the more defensive minded teams, but if a team really comes at us I agree we're far more likely to make things work

[Albion] To Avoid De Zerbi Bashing - The Staying Up/Europe Tracker - season 2023-24 - Game 33 Update - 8 OVER

Think the snag we may have is that we have three games against the title contenders, while West Ham and United only have two. Hopefully West Ham's European schedule will slow them in the league a bit

    [Albion] Stabbings

I know people are feeling low about the result etc... today, but it is honestly wonderful news that both made the game and are doing about as ok as you could expect from the situation

    [Albion] Stabbings

Bit of a long shot in the circumstances, but Jack is (understandably) trying to source a crutch or walking stick to make attending the game a bit easier. Hospital didn't provide one for him. Any ideas? EDIT: Informed by @AstroSloth that Jack is sorted for a crutch now, so hopefully things'll...

    [Albion] Stabbings

Glad to hear they're both about as ok as can be expected in the circumstances. Never understand this stuff, people just want to enjoy a game.

[Football] Everton deduction reduced to 6 points [Update 8/4: ...and another 2 points]

I believe the league did propose detailed punishments for types of PSR breaches. However the clubs voted it down. That's why a regulator is needed really, clubs set the rules they're holding themselves to.

[Albion] So who is the secret singing…?

Club of course has to be mindful of home grown players regulations, so I assume would prefer British. For that I'd say likely Ross Barkley, Ben Mee or (possibly) Matt Ritchie. If we're going non-British then it would have to be Eriksen (year on his deal but gettable) or Thiago for me.
