    [Albion] Injuries

Pervis looks like he has more than a calf muscle injury from that photo. It looks like he’s had an ankle injury which he’s played through for a while. An operation and long recuperation ready for next season. Maybe explains his dip in form this season. He’ll be disappointed as he’ll miss...

    [Albion] Summer clear out

I’m just not sure that a team will pay enough this summer for him knowing that he’s been out with a bad back injury. Seems very high risk. We certainly won’t accept a knock down bid for him. Also Olise is available for c £60m and a lot of big clubs are looking at him. I think Mitoma’s injury...

    [Albion] Summer clear out

But then reports following this that they are considering it. I expect they may if they get Champions League football and someone triggers the release clause of c £20m for their other striker ( name eludes me at present). They wouldn’t want to be without both of their strikers next season.

    [Albion] Summer clear out

    Midfield is definitely a priority.

    [Albion] Summer clear out

And if we can get the reported €20m release clause it will be one hell of a bit of business by us. Paid c £6m for him.

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Manchester City *** Official Match Thread ***

I agree. The Hughton style of playing to mitigate a thrashing is no way to play. We try and play a high risk, possession style game, but against City they are the masters of it. We kept going and played our style with a depleted team and with a couple of decisions going against us. No lack of...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Manchester City *** Official Match Thread ***

Poor ref, but made no difference. I liked the look of Barco. Didn’t hide after his mistake. Kept wanting the ball and kept going.

    [Albion] Team for Manchester City

Possibly at Bournemouth but against City I reckon we need to be more pragmatic and having Moder will help bolster the midfield. He can get forward for set pieces and help defend them also.

    [Albion] Injuries

It appears that we are playing the rest of the season with a safety first stance regarding injuries. Get everyone fit for 2024/25, bring in another midfielder and winger ( Nicolas Gonzalez) and off we go next season with a strong squad.

[Football] Slot favourite for Liverpool as talks set to open

Tommy Tuchel apparently. Big name, shite football.

    [Albion] Vincent Kompany

Agree with that although Nice have struggled a bit of late, especially with scoring, and maybe Farioli’s methods have been countered by other coaches. If we could retain Roberto for another season then I think Farioli would be better placed to take over as he would have had two seasons with...

    [Albion] Vincent Kompany

And now being reported elsewhere that Rangnick is likely to be going to Bayern. So the 70% chance that it’s RDZ potentially seems wide of the mark.

[Albion] Marc Leonard - 16yr old from Hearts

As I’ve said previously in this thread I think that if we sell it will be with a big sell on clause and potentially even a buy back option. Give him a chance with a decent Championship club.

    [Albion] Vincent Kompany

Interesting that odds on Ralf Rangnick to Bayern have been suspended on SkyBet.

    [Albion] Vincent Kompany

Agree with this. I thought Lille were excellent in the game versus Villa last week. Apparently would like to manage in the Premier League and high up on West Ham’s wish list ( allegedly) Sure we would have him on our wish list.

    [Albion] Vincent Kompany

I reckon it’ll be; Amorim to Liverpool Tuchel to Man Utd Fonseca to West Ham Ten Hag back to Ajax Possibly RDZ to Bayern and if so it looks like we’ve started our contingency planning, but we’ve ( the fans) only heard about certain rumours of initial discussions.

    [Albion] Vincent Kompany

We’ll want someone who plays possession football as a successor to RDZ when he leaves, and Kompany certainly gets his team to play possession football. I was at Turf Moor and I was impressed with Burnley’s performance compared with the sum parts of their players. Tactically they nullified us...

    [Albion] Premier League 20-21/4/24

Don’t think that will do them any good. Still right in the relegation mix.

    [Albion] 2024 Summer Transfer Window

I reckon we’ll keep Mitoma. ( hopefully and maybe because of his injury). It’s a good list of players we are linked with. Particularly like the look of Nagalo as a 4th choice centre back. Big potential. I’d add in Adem Zorgane as a potential midfielder.
