Has he though? Watford he was obviously poor but no game sticks out apart from that. And as I said you can't really complain about our defensive record
Attitudes like that of the OP are the reason why English football is in the state it's in.
We are trying to build long term by developing a philosophy at the club. I can understand to an extent the want for 4-4-2, but we played 4-3-3 all of last year and were only a few points off going up...
Sorry but that BBC story is frankly bizarre.
There's been talk of Rooney going for around the £25 million mark. Luiz is supposedly interesting Barca for around £30 million and Mata has been Chelsea's best player for the last two years, easilly worth £30 million.
Find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe...
Don't know if this has been mentioned, but hasn't this just come from a Palace fan on twitter? Not seen anything concrete anywhere.
Plus there's no way we'd accept 3 million.
Without having read the article, could it be possible that it was part of the game and therefore a joke? I mean you would expect a team with unlimited transfer funds to finish in the top four, so perhaps it was just part of it.
Think people need to understand that our next manager is not going to be a traditional English one (Warnock, Coppell, Curbishley etc) . Will be someone to continue the job of Gus and the style of football, probably from abroad.
1280, having only done 4 away this season (Watford, Palace, Forest and Charlton) and the two home Cup games.
Admittedly I did do 8 last season + all the home cup games and was Withdean STH, but given my record this season I was slightly surprised I qualified in all honesty.
There is absolutely no way we will make 11 changes as some are suggesting. Can you imagine the outcry if we put out a second team and Wolves beat us to stay up? Plus there's rules preventing teams doing that now anyway.
I would imagine it will be near enough full strength with maybe 2 or 3 changes.
Pretty sure Dunk has signed long term contract as well and Barnes has activated an extension due to number of appearances according to the Argus. Expect there are similar clauses with a lot of those players.
TK 7- Did what he had to.
Calde 7- Good first half, faded second.
Greer 5- Passing of radar.
Upson 5- As above. Probably his worst game for us.
Bridge 7- Solid
Dave 6- Poor game for him. Couldn't get involed
Bridcutt 7- Standard
Vicente 5- Seemed off the pace. Tried to overcomplicate
