I agree, especially re the PL. I have been going to see the Albion for 59 years. I don't watch/am not interested in watching any other football. I think we thrived on being hard done by underdogs. I am still furious over the Saints / Spurs draw which denied us promotion! I did a sponsored walk...
One of the best things about Spoons is they don't have what passes for music nowadays.......and neither do they have a highly irritating tv screen on every spare patch of wall. They have a better range of 'proper' beers than most places nowadays. You can have a chat with mates without having...
Can't see passed Scheffler - a thoroughly nice bloody good chap! Don't mind anyone winning as long as it's not Woods - a thoroughly horrible human being! (IMHO that is!)
For all the well known stars in it, the acting is hammy in the extreme, the plot is full of holes and the swearing is extreme simply for the sake of it. Got to say, I think this is utter garbage. But then I thought Fool Me Once was just as bad and people seemed to like that as...
Miracle of Medinah has to be waaay ahead of anything else listed but it won't get the votes because it doesn't get the coverage populist sports events like football and the olympics do.
Well, not being involved in the case, not having heard all the evidence and (surely not!) had an improper disclosure made to you by your friend, the detective, it's a shame you weren't on the jury, having already come to the 'right' decision! :ROFLMAO:
When you say 'the instigator was 'let off' by the jury', do you mean they heard the case, considered the evidence put before them and collectively decided that they could not find that he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt? :ROFLMAO:
We haven't been able to score for ages and, with Pedro out, I can't see that changing anytime soon. Lot's of CMS type meaningful running around with nothing to show for it and they score on the break. 0-1 (agg 0-5)!
It seems to me that programs like this are given extraordinary amounts of publicity to 'tell' us it's great. We started watching it but didn't like it. We watched the second ep cos 'it's supposed to be really good', but it was utter rubbish. Plot holes all over the place, unbelievable story...
Since we'll never see any of them at their best in a run off I think we have to go with the impression they created and, for me, it was Paul Brooker running down the wing at Withdean that stuck in my mind as being the fastest.
Deodorant, but it is increasingly difficult to find (unless you like Lynx!). Nowadays it seems to be all anti perspirants which block up your pores with aluminium!
Fond memories of most of the names mentioned so far. From the modern 'Amex era' Uwe Hunnemeir (Sp?) surely deserves a place as an almost legend but someone who will relatively rapidly be forgotten with the signings and on field progress we've since made
