Can Leicester do it again?
You cannot really safely rule out any of the top 7 as it stands
In an uncertain world Leicester are still great value
Current approx odds
Man City 4/5
Liverpool 100/30
Man Utd 7/1
Tottenham 30/1
Leicester 35/1
Chelsea 70/1
Everton 150/1
What managers have we been linked with in the past that have been close to getting the prime job either via speculation or through to the interview stage?
I think John Gregory was close once and I believe he really wanted to manage us
Joe Kinnear and Tony Adams may have been linked at some stage...
Some useless trivia I saw in the paper today
Player and minutes played:
Jim Barrett (1928) 4
Peter Ward (1980) 5
Brian Marwood (1988) 10
Chris Sutton (1997) 11
Joey Barton (2007) 11
Lee Hendrie (1998) 14
Ryan Mason (2015)...
What person or persons associated with Palace do you dislike the most?
My list is ridiculously long and includes Hilaire, Coppell, Johnson, Pardew, Izzard and Zaha as the main scum
What jobs would you never do even if you were desperate?
Litter warden and Traffic Warden
Just been reading Argus website and the council from Monday will be introducing a fleet of new litter police
I also wouldn't be able to be an Albion steward (with back to the game)
4 World Cup Football games
England v Australia 1 day cricket
Full set of Rugby internationals including England v South Africa
US Open Golf
Anymore for anymore
Won't be leaving the house tomorrow whatever the weather
Didn't look a day older that when he led us out at Wembley
Never realized he was pretty young when he was our boss man
Shook the great man's hands last night shortly after his interview as he was walking up through the lower west stand
Looked as fit as a fiddle
All set up for a grand finale
I fancy it will be a playoff this year
Hopefully the leading two will be there at the end, Justin Rose is a good man and would be nice to see Garcia deservedly win a major at last although he normally bottles it when it counts
Haven't had a wager so can relax...
What English football ground do you want to go to that you haven't been to before?
Think mine must be Newcastle, not been to ground or the town ever so will make a weekend of it one day although hopefully not next season.
Also fancy a trip to Home Park one day, even though we have played...
Football feast along with the cricket one day decider, bit of rugby thrown in plus snooker shootout and dutch darts, the list is endless so won't be leaving the cave today
What are your predictions though for the main events?
Arsenal v Leicester & Man City v Tottenham?
This weekend in the Merseyside Derby, Phil Jagielka is due to become the 17th player in league history to have made at least 250 league appearances for two clubs.
Name the other 16.
There are no current players on the list but most of them are pretty recent in the whole scheme of things apart...
Has this been scrapped?
Went to station on Friday night to get a ticket but it was no more.
Bloke at station thinks that it was stopped a couple of games before the end of last season but wasn't sure.
Liked it as you could just give cash for a ticket and no ID required and minimal wait too.
These are the managers that Sami Hyypia will be pitting his wits against this season:
Birmingham City: Lee Clark
Blackburn Rovers: Gary Bowyer
Blackpool Town: Jose Riga
Bolton Wanderers: Dougie Freedman
Bournemouth: Eddie Howe
Brentford: Mark Warburton
Cardiff City: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer...
I like a bit of slang I do.
A few of mine that I use are;
Aryton (Senna): Tenner
Nelson (Mandela): Stella
Lesley (Ash): Slash
Ian Rush: Bus
