The problem is that paliament (the commons) is in danger of becoming too powerful. The monarch has none, and the lords has in the past 6 months or so, made it'self obsoleet. A powerful commons is a threat to democracy. We need all three. And in my view, while you are right to say there is a case...

Becuase the Lords is supposed to be full of wise and experience men and women. Old polititions and people who were 'taught/born' (very old fashioned way of looking at it) to rule. They are supposed to be the brain while the commons is the heart.

Which they know they hold in trust.

Good old fashion parliamental convention. But with them regecting the Brexit Bill, they have dug thier own grave.

Its almost like the people making laws do not have to or ever do listern to anything the people want. They are acountable to no one.

The point is, nobody is electing what these people stand for. New rules and laws are implimented without the influence of the people. The EU is Democracy from the top down.

People on zero hours are entiteled to paid holiday. Its based on the average hours worked in the last month, assuming they have worked for the company the correct amount of time.
