Looking for a bit of advice from the sages of NSC - lady at work has a 23 year old son who is in the mid stages of being sucked into a cult - something called the Xi Wellness Centre. In short it was a stereotypical situation you read about where he was on his own in London, just split up with...

Given the culinary masters that reside on here I am looking for some tips. Its our first year at hosting a family Christmas and we have 12 people coming round and have just picked up a 16lb turkey.
So - any ideas on what's the best way to cook it?
Finally after a number of years of people reporting him to the police we think our neighbour has been done for drink driving but does anyone know of whether such convictions are published anywhere publically?
This chap was an absolute disgrace - we saw him once literally fall over drunk...

Chaps and chapesses.
Does anyone have any ideas for an interesting venue for a wedding and reception in the area - 20 miles vicinity or so. I am checking out Marwell Zoo/Hall in the coming weeks. Looking for somewhere reasonably nice but perhaps very slightly quirky - no need for religious...
Having just moved into a new house we want some work doing including installing a new shower, fix a leaking shower, putting up a screen, changing a radiator over, couple of new taps. We have called a couple of local plumbers who we spoke to and asked them to come round and give us a quote...

Just managed to get the first Saturday in donkey's off work and would love to get to Reading. I am not in the AMS (and cant find any information on the official site about joining) and obviously dont want to sit with the Reading crowd. If I purchase one of the tickets available on NSC do I need...
Place any five pound (or more) bet on the Open golf with Sporting Odds and, after you have emailed them with your user name they will credit your 'sporting games' account with £5. Trick being not to waste the money on the scratch cards as they suggest but just transfer the money straight back...
As soon as the information is posted on the website lets make sure that NSC is informed on this thread. Particularly for those who cant get to Withdean.
Good to see that the promised Spanish withdrawal of troops from Iraq has removed the threat of terrorism from Spain. Unless of course the large dynamite bomb found under the tracks this afternoon dispels the theory that only those who supported the war on Iraq are likely terrorist targets.
Nothing moved for about two hours round here at the moment - apparently some kind of chemical spill on Parliament Square - lots of Old Bill, bomb squad, firemen, helicopters - no news on whether it was a malicious attack or not
