Struggling to think of a player we've had who's better with the ball at their feet?

(Even if he can't shoot for toffee)
I was thinking earlier who we could get in to take his place, and my thinking led me to Van De Beek. We could certainly do a lot worse.

What a very nice man,it would be really nice to see him score his last goal for us v Utd with a 102nd minute winner, thank you Mr Lallana.

Yes, I've been scratching my head over that one. He wants to be with his family in Bournemouth, he'll be spending a lot of time in Bournemouth and presumably he'll want to play for a club in or near Bournemouth. This means he'll probably end up at ...... nope, nothing springs to mind. Poole perhaps?

Should we read anything into Iraola signing a contract extension on the same day as Lallana announces he’s leaving?

Intriguing suggestion. A quick comparison:

2178 minutes played by Reus this season to Lallana's 894

17 goals or assists for Reus to Lallana's one assist

And only two illness or injury related absences for Reus this season.
Good data

Could you add Gross' same data to see that for comparison alongside, thanks.

2178 minutes played by Reus this season to Lallana's 894, and Pascal's 3924

17 goals or assists for Reus to Lallana's one assist, and Pascal's 18 goals or assists

And only two illness or injury related absences for Reus this season -- officially, none for Lallana or Pascal but I seem to recall RDZ saying Lallana was not fit to play on at least one occasion if not several.

Yep lallana has been next to useless this season. Still can't believe we offered him another year.

I can’t find any details about the manner of his departure….all the reporting I found is just the basics about the deal and how Saints had to pay Bournemouth some dollar. What happened? I presume he agitated for a departure?
He came out and stated he loved it at Southampton and wouldn't leave.

Then got tapped up by Liverpool, and allegedly (he denies this bit) refused to play for Saints again - to force the move.

He took out a full page advert in the local paper to say thank you / sorry - it wasn't well received.

He's been booed every time he's played at Saints since (except perhaps when we beat them there during lockdown!)

He’s got a 15month son as well as the elder sons. Maybe his wife is fed up with him living away so much?
