The quaintly named Obed Arms on Albion Hill. Seems to be a pub outing . I love the mix of people and clothing , and the old girl at the top window . I bet they had a good time…
Hard to pinpoint today because the buildings are long gone . To the best I can judg it was here at what is now the corner of John Street.

Yay…. Dockerills , an absolute go - to place for almost anything when I lived in North Laine. They don’t make shops like that anymore.

That would have been after it moved farther east along Western Rd.
I visited the same sozzled Santa.
I can’t help but think of Savile esque characters going for Santa jobs back in the day.
I thought that too about location, then the new one was destroyed by a fire.

Think this is about right...couldn't get it exactly.
Wow, I didn’t realise Edward Street had been so narrow.
The streets to the right were slums. One ironically named Sun Street, because so narrow, it barely saw the sun.
