I thought it brave to take off Enciso when they did (he was by far our best player): maybe the management is learning about preventing injuries.
Has to be the only reason, he was the best player on the pitch.

Bit harsh - isn't he basically a CB rather than a fill-in LB?
Yes but my point still stands. If he’s our starting CB then that is not good news. Back up for both positions is what he should be.

I thought it was also good to bring on a bit of muscle and a defender for Gilmour and Adingra at the end to see out the draw. Very un-de Zerbi like - is he learning?
The whole performance was plan B, despite people saying he doesn’t have one.

He was on a yellow, they were targeting him (both to clatter him and try and get a rise out of him) and RDZ had said in the week his conditioning isn't 100% yet. Taking him off was logical even tho he was our most creative player.

The majority was Plan B. There was a bit of pop, pop, popping around our midfield in the first half

I can't remember who, but one of the managers in the first half of the season said "you can't press Brighton, because the play pop, pop, pop and they're round you and creating chances". I thought it perfectly summed up what were doing when we're at our best and there were signs of that first half, and that hasn't been there for a long time.

It was nicely mixed up. lots of longer balls down the channel and goal kicks directly in to Welbeck. Little tweaks like that against pressing teams will keep them guessing.

We need to review the injuries in training and sort out what is causing them. Too many non match injuries .
I’d be amazed if the club isn’t doing this. Singing the new medical team seems to be an indication that they’re addressing the treatment issues, but getting fewer injuries in training would also be a bonus.

Only listening on the radio today, but from the brief highlights I have seen, it looks like we performed quite well today, against a good side. Good to see Enciso back to his best. I hope by subbing him, it means he can start V Chelsea.
Would so love to win our last two games, but worry that by Wednesday we could be down to our U21s.

Who are they booing though? Ref was largely a homer, their team weren't awful and beyond pantomine, I don't think we did anything to offend either.

Have utmost respect for Newcastle fans but why the booing? V entertaining game - felt we were robbed in first half as ref should have blown for half time ten seconds before they scored! MOM for me was Enciso. Such an exciting player.
Us - delaying restarts, Bart holding the ball for ages, and around two minutes of cramp during injury time.

I don't have utmost respect for Newcastle fans who have accepted their Saudi overlords with barely a word. I also don't have respect for them being allowed to stick away fans miles away from the pitch. I'd be delighted if we contributed to them not making the Europa League.
Yup.
All of this.

Thought it was funny that we turned them round at the kick off.

Yes. We want ti attack the other home end this half.
