"Brighton will look to lure Kieran McKenna away from Ipswich if Roberto De Zerbi quits as manager this summer.

It is understood Brighton have been making contingency plans as they prepare for the possibility of needing a new manager. De Zerbi, whose side are in dismal form, has grown unsettled and has been linked with several big jobs in recent months.

De Zerbi has much to prove and has been overlooked for upcoming vacancies at Bayern Munich and Liverpool. He has been considered by Chelsea and Milan. Sources in Italy have said De Zerbi wants a new challenge but no offers are on the table."

Would seem like a sensible option...

Sauce on the 'groan unsettled' bit?

(It would be quite exciting to have McKenna - he may even be able to bring star player, Jeremy Sarmiento with him!)

Now, I feel like RDZ will leave in the summer once again. Thought he sounded quite positive in the forum, but some fans pointed out his cryptic messages.
"I love this club" - but not the owner, or indeed the players. I'm off!
"We are suffering" - I'm off.
"Everybody is trying to win" - I'm OFF!
"We have some tough, tough matches" - TAXI!

Bit of a click bait thread title isn’t it? You forgot to add the all important ‘IF’.

Plenty more sauce out there - stop speculating - we’ll know when De Zerbi knows

“Brighton increasingly optimistic Roberto De Zerbi will remain at club next season”

Andy Naylor 13 April Athletic

“Roberto De Zerbi provides a strong hint that he may stay with Brighton beyond the season”

Exactly one week ago, Andy Naylor uploaded a mailbag piece in The Athletic. There was a question about who we'd target if RDZ leaves and he answered in the article that the bar at Brighton has been raised, we're an attractive option for head coaches, meaning we could attract a higher calibre of candidates with European pedigree etc. - and he said specifically:

"That makes it less likely to be somebody such as Kieran McKenna (Ipswich) and Russell Martin (Southampton)..."

So, it's really interesting that the coaches we've been linked with are McKenna, Martin, Kompany and Frank, so high end Championship / low end PL.

I think it is pretty much guaranteed that no-one outside of the club knows anything pertinent.

F*** me! Not another ‘reliable sauce’ saying the same old cobblers of the same old cobblers that was regurgitated ad nauseum. It goes something like this Roberto De Zerbi is going to ————— (name of club) and will be replaced by ————— (name of prospective coach). If all this crap is true do you honestly think RDZ would be attending a club’s fans forum if he was going to hot leg off somewhere else? ???

I'm hearing The Guardian on McKenna but in terms of journalistic credibility and sauces you have to go with Richard Keys.

When you say linked, do you mean like this:

With a tiny edit....I would concur

Edit apart from @Clive Walker apparently. Still waiting . . . .
