Somebody just sent me Lewes FC advert for next manager. There equality issues I think are over the the top and this advert proves this.
It states they pride themselves as an equal opportunity employer and encourage and welcome applications from all candidates including those from under represented backgrounds such as women, people with disabilities,BAME and LGBTQ candidates. Why on earth dont they just say they want a manager. Maybe a black disabled lesbian will fit the role

Standard wording in loads of job adverts these days. The wording on a job ad is the least of their issues currently

The fact that Tony allowed this sub to happen would have me cancelling his ticket to Lake Garda if I were on the Lewes board. Absolute embarrassment.

Bring on next season.
I didn't realise he brought himself on a sub, odd, embarrassing actually. Hopefully a better management team next season.

That's hardly unusual in this day annd age. Most job adverts, irrespective of the role, say much the same thing.

Newhaven win on penalties.

Eastbourne Town back at the Saffrons on Sunday with both goals scored by James Hull tonight , attendance 604 .

Will have to see if the Boss will let me out again , going to be a massive south coast derby with the winner takes all

I’m in the bizarre position where a small part of me is worried that I’ll miss out on a ticket to a Worthing game, even if I get on to the ticket site as soon as they go on sale.

Damn all these bandwagon jumpers*

*Says somebody who jumped on the bandwagon fairly recently.

Wick 3 Worthing utd 3. Wick win on penalties then Wick players throw a few jabs through the goal net at Worthing youngsters. Then a few pryros thrown at Wick players after the melee. Love non league.

Newhaven win on penalties.

As I predicted very little between the two sides on the night. Crowborough started brightly for the first five minutes but Newhaven woke up and were the dominant team for the first half an hour. Newhaven went 1 up following a bit of crap defending giving the lad not one but three goes at poking home which he did on the third attempt. Crowborough slowly woke up and got an very scruffy equaliser following a scramble from a corner. The half petered out a bit as both side cancelled each other out.

Second half was all Crowborough but they created very little in the way of chances until the board went up for stoppage time. In that 5 minutes the Newhaven keeper made 3 great saves and one was headed off the line.

Newhaven were ruthless in the shootout scoring all five. Crowborough missed one but that was the difference.

Credit to Newhaven. The players and supporters in the club house after the game were spot on. It's easy to be gracious in defeat but a lot harder to be gracious in victory especially in such a big game.

Just seen it's against Midhurst so they've been reinstated at HH expensive.

Does anyone know if the rumoured league point deduction will happen?
Apparently the National FA were happy to let them off, but the County FA have been really difficult about it. It's about international clearance from a player that was playing in Ireland. There was a hearing on Sunday about it, but I'm not sure what the outcome was. Looks like they've been kicked out the cup, subject to an appeal.

Is it just rock up to Eastbourne on Sunday about half an hour before ko without a care in the World ? or

will it be packed out , can't get in and a wasted journey ?

I can stretch to an hour before if need be :)

If I was going I would get there an hour before, there could be queues at the gate, if I was driving and wanted to park in the road outside The Saffrons I would probably go earlier.
It’s a shame this match isn’t on Saturday afternoon and not the same day as the Albion are at home

Going to be tough as Eastbourne Town have been playing well.
Have you been to The Saffrons before?

Seaford Town are also in a playoff final this weekend, home v Wick on Saturday afternoon
A few years ago but to watch cricket...

Really enjoyed the few games watching Newhaven this season, the ship coming in during an evening game quality...

Here's hoping (y)
