Milner and Lallana will probably retire.
Webster and Lamptey aren't durable enough unfortunately I can see us trying to transfer them out.
Rushworth will come in to replace Steele as our number 2 goalie I'd have thought.
Fati returned to Barcelona.
Veltman looks like he might need to play at a less intense level now, perhaps back to the Netherlands.
Gross might want to go back to Germany, I'm sure we'd keep him for another year though if we can.

I can see it being quite a busy summer, I'm sure we'll lose at least one that we don't want to as well, Pedro or Mitoma most likely.

At least the injuries we've had this season has meant that our fringe players have had plenty of minutes and will have accelerated their progression.
I doubt this will happen. Rushworth has potential to be an England keeper and sitting on our bench all season for all but half a dozen cup games is the last thing he needs. Unless he's coming back to be our number 1 then it's far better for him to get another loan at a decent Championship club where he plays every week.

Lalanna into coaching staff. Possibly Milner as Well.

Lose Lamptey and Webster.

They don’t have to be paid more. If a player has a year left on a lucrative deal he might be inclined to take a longer deal on lesser money elsewhere to safeguard his future. Also, sometimes clubs pay players off to move on, or even just leave. Loan arrangements with part of the wages covered etc. Plenty of ways.
Definitely. Given the potential for injuries, a level-headed player with a good agent will likely see a guaranteed 4 years on 30K a week as preferable to 1 year on 50K.

TB … go for it.

Lamptey
Webster
Milner
Steele
Veltman (my favourite player, but legs gone?)

Thankfully no more Lallana or Fati. That’s a huge wedge in wages.
Velts lega definitely gone. Just can't handle elite players. And Lamptey just isn't going to cut it. That searing pace has gone even when he is fit so she's really an ineffectual step over merchant. We really need an injection of pace and power in key areas and I think Caicedos legs were rescuing us a lot last season.

Bath, Somerset.
There are plenty of players across Europe in their mid-twenties with bags of experience. Tony just needs to stump up the money to get them in.
Corrected for you!

I think he could be challenging to be our number one to be honest with you, he’d be number 2 to start with though as Verbruggen has the edge in terms of top league experience. As we’ve seen De Zerbi (if he’s still here) isn’t afraid of changing keepers so I’m sure he’d get plenty of game time.

Easiest thing is football is selling players that everyone wants. Hardest thing is selling the ones on the back of what is now being described as a poor season (I don’t agree) by some when there under contract. Easy to say let’s move on 10/15 players.

Realistically we will finish around 12th this season. None of the clubs above us will want our dead wood.
Webster maybe attractive to low end PL more likely championship sides, Lampety may get a move was rumours of clubs abroad wanting him. Dahoud may have done enough to get a move back to Germany. Lallana may retire likewise Milner. If they do hopefully both want to stay and coach.
Undav most likely would get a move to Germany if him and club agreed but we don’t have any better CF at moment in terms of finishing.
Sarmiento may stay at Ipswich on loan if they are promoted and there maybe some younger players who go back on loan ect but this season from memory of the loans thread the loans havnt set the world alight bar the goalkeepers and Leonard so not sure how many will be loaned out again. Alzate I think is a free agent this summer.
The sales team are going to have to work hard this summer to sell those players to other clubs for any decent fees.

Mitoma is only player I could see anyone interested in for big money. Pedro isn’t consistent enough in front of goal yet.

We realistically need a RB and CB who is pushing dunks place, CM is the biggest revamp that is required. We have lost macallister caicedo and Mwepu and replaced them with 2 young inexperienced CM in Gilmore and Baloba and Gross has aged another 2 years and maybe another attacking RW.

Here’s the difference Barco looks like a player it’s an easy spot he has talent.
Baleba we are hoping he has talent, for £23m crap buy.
I think there is clearly talent he’s still a kid trying to play the leading role on a football pitch. Physically he is outstanding - decision making he is still like Bambi in headlights. I addition I don’t believe he is a DM maybe more box to box. When he drives into space he opens up distances and drives at the defence he’s great to watch. When he learns to pick the right pass from this point onwards and learns to use his body better in tight areas he will be some player. If he was 25 with 5/6 years under his belt I’d get where your coming from but he’s a kid we picked up in France having played a few months of football in the top tier prior to getting a run of games for us in the later stages of the season mainly due to the fact the squad if full of injuries.

Sussex but not by the sea
Out - Lallana, Veltman, Milner, Fati, Dahoud. I'd also sell Sima to generate £ but don't include him in the outs.
We can't change too much too soon IMO, so stay for another season - Lamptey, Webster, Welbeck, Moder.
In - 1st team ready (doesn't need 'time') - RB, CM, ST, Winger
In - squad ready - CB, CM, Winger
5 out, 7 in, as I think the squad is 2 players short.
We won't get much income from the 5 out so this summer will be a cost spend, however I think some are already signed or on our books e.g. Undav

It is just as vital that we don't lose any of our crown jewels this summer. The likes of Mitoma, Ferguson & Pedro etc must not be allowed to leave yet.

Have we even got a new recruitment lead yet?

Mitoma will be sold this summer, I guess. We've been linked with so many classic left wingers/versatile attacking mids who can play both wings so far: Jota Silva, Philip Otele, Nicolas Gonzalez, Mohamed Amoura, Assane Diao & Loun Tchaouna. All above the age 23, except Diao. Of those Nicolas Gonzalez can be regarded as a solid replacement, but would cost us about £40m.

Fair point. Looks majestic as he opens up his legs and shows his class but then ruins all the good work nearly every time.

Surprised Lalana who must be very wealthy has not retired and has let his career end like this. Total embarassment last night especially time in front of East stand when he had a yard start and didnt get ball. Everybody round us just laughed.

I'd rather we don't revert to the goalkeeper rotation policy next year. Choose your number 1 and stick with him week in week out.
