Go out early get home early. Had a nice steak and kidney pie, which went down nicely with some Pride. Quite a few of those Brexit folk in there celebrating the Rwanda bill, they were pretending on being planes, odd bunch.
Sounds like a lovely pub. Is it in Shoreham?

Did anyone find a George Cross in Brighton?

Has anyone been out looking?

The video maker will be glad to know there was a “party” in the no go area of Londonstan. Looks exactly like a Saturday night in West St, only with more flags and less hen nights. Makes you proud, doesn’t it?

Why are the police blocking the people with the St George's flags getting to the people with St George's flags?

I remember reading a book by Dara O’Briain where he talks about why St George’s day can’t compete with St Patrick’s day. In his opinion it’s because Ireland is a very religious country and Paddy’s day falls in the middle of Lent.

It basically became a day where people would break their good habits for the day, eat/drink/smoke whatever they liked before returning to Lent. Sort of ruins the whole point, unless Jesus popped to a Spa for the day whilst he was stuck in the desert.

If that’s true then quite frankly they’re welcome to it. I’d rather shit in my hands and clap than try to reverse engineer that.
I think it’s more to do with the fact that people like drinking Guinness.

Is there any evidence for this? As far as I can tell, "the far right has stolen our flag" is just a lazy trope to bring out during these discussions.

In fact, it's just the opposite of the OP video "you're not allowed to be English anymore"

It's all bollocks, and only exists as vehicle for either side to start an argument, convinced that the other side is out to get them.

99% of English people are comfortable not giving a shit about any of this except when the footy/rugby/cricket/Olympics is on, or there's a coronation.
So why are so many reasonable people embarrassed/affronted when they see the George Cross? Some Brits from ethnic minorities are intimidated by the sight of it. Here is one piece of evidence and I don't believe there is anything 'lazy' about drawing attention to it...
