We binged this and watched the final episode last night.
A truly great series. Accurate, moving, brilliantly acted and with a superb soundtrack.
If they were to tour, I'd definitely get tickets for f*** The Factory.

It actually has very mixed reviews I notice now, I guess if you have a connection to the area or subject matters it means more to you.
It just reminds me so much of growing up, admittedly I was a few years behind these characters, but I saw them, the Skinheads left and right, the growth of Two Tone, the old Irish guys collecting passing around a bucket or tin in the pub for "donations" etc etc.
I was watching it with my wife and daughter and when Dante got beat up by the three skinheads, she said to me they look hard, yes they did and see my 2 inch scar on my forehead, guys dressed just like that, did that too me with lumps of wood.

I didn't really experience any of this, or at least only from the far off sidelines. But I am still really enjoying it. As are others in.my family. I was surprised by some of the poor reviews, seems to be a love it or hate it series. But glad I watched and made up my own mind before reading some of the reviews!

Good soundtrack too. My Nicky Thomas post in the Great Live Performances by Dead People thread came as a result of watching this series. Hadn't heard of him before.

First episode wondered what the hell it was all about… by the last one we are into it. I assume it is setting us all up for series 2 as it will have to cram a whole load of explaining in the remaining couple of episodes

Not one of the big sellers of 1969/70 and it wasn't on the Tighten Up lps that were staples of our record collections at the time ..
