All things in life and nsc always lead to Brexit!

I think the Remain campaign (all parties) was weak, blasé, disjointed, arrogant. If done professionally, it would’ve been a 60:40 Remain result. No one of note thought they could possibly lose. Whilst the Brexit side got every potential Brexiteer to the ballot box. Millions who didn’t vote, I’d guess in the age group 18 to 39, sleepwalked into something they loathed. I’m not necessary against referenda, Ireland and Denmark held them over key EU changes.

Imagine if I'd made that post :lolol:

Truss and each time I see my mortgage payment it will remind me of her and also remind me to slam the door in the face of any Tory candidate that comes knocking for my vote at the next GE ( maybe preceded by a swift kick to the nads area depending on my mood ).

Nice Idea, shame you've come to that conclusion nearly 5 years too late, but you knew what you were doing. As someone once said

It's not a surprise - sometimes you need to do a deal with the devil to get what you want !

I'd suggest being a little wary if what you want is only being sold by the Devil

And on the bright side, at least you got what you wanted

For me, simply in order of the amount of damage they have done

Johnson - supercharged the downward spiral
Cameron - started the whole disaster trying to paper over cracks in his party
Truss - impressive rate of disaster but over a very short period
Sunak - just continued plummeting the country downwards

I really can't believe that I am saying that useless twat Sunak is only the fourth worst (and third worst in this single parliament). Who could have guessed ? ....... oh

I don’t see how anyone can vote for someone other than Truss. Jeez some of the others were terrible, but Truss was basically a clown car that was on fire. Frank de Boer had a more successful stint at Crystal Palace than she managed in Number 10.

She was in charge for seven weeks, two of which were taken up by the Queen’s death and the subsequent activities putting a freeze on politics. And she STILL tanked the economy.

Blair shouldn't be anywhere near that list. Did a comparatively good job over a long time. Any PM in his position would have sided with the US after 9/11, so as much as a stain on his record as that is, I don't blame him for it.

Cameron gets my vote as worst PM. He put his party ahead of the country by agreeing to a devastating referendum on Europe to try and cling on to power. Had he gracefully lost that election to Miliband history would have judged him better I think.

Brexit/Johnson/Truss are a result of Cameron, so he gets my vote as the worst PM in our history.

I genuinely hate every single one of them. However, Truss is a far right nutty nut job and a result of the cost cutting care in the community. She can't be trusted with cutlery, so why anyone thought she should be put in charge beggars belief.

I think that's the key point - While she made a right mess of it, how much damage can one actually achieve in that time?!?

It always seems to be totally forgotten how the political parties actually lined up in that Iraq vote. The votes against were 84 Labour, 52 Lib Dem, 5 SNP, 4 Plaid Cymru, 2 Conservative and 2 others.

Labour 254 out of 410 voted for it (61%)
Conservatives 146 out of 166 voted for it (91%)

But you can prove anything with facts

In 2015 that the Tories hadn't won a majority for 23 years, they were utterly desperate. The lost decade followed....

Finally decided on Johnson due to the amount of lies he tried to sell to the country and Parliament
Unfortunately he was also in charge for the COVID period which just highlighted how unsuited he was to be Prime Minister.

Went Johnson, Truss did at least quit quickly, Johnson had his cabinet resign one by one to try and convince him he had to resign, and he then made it sound like it was down to bad luck and not his fault on any way.
Cameron was under pressure to put the referendum in the Tory manifesto, votes were slipping away to UKIP, I think he was expecting another coalition, and giving up the referendum pledge as part of the coalition agreement.
Remain campaign was weak, but to be fair, were caught on the hop and lost time by arguing against being like Norway for weeks, didnt expect anyone to be pushing to leave the single market.

Johnson, narcissistic, lying, cheating, womanising, covid mismanaging, Brexit promoting ****.
Truss, batshit mental, stupid ****.
Sunak is just weak.
Cameron gambled and lost, I think he had good intentions, but paved the road to hell.

That is a tough list to choose from!

I'd have chosen Brown, but for the fact the damage he caused was actually when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer - PPP, pensions raid, selling the gold reserves etc.
Wasn't the "selling of the gold reserves" not actually true, but just a factoid that was repeated so many times it became accepted "truth" ?

I'm sure I read a credible article debunking the gold sale factoid a few years ago. If I could be bothered I'd research it again... but life is too short tbh.

look at that list :( The Tories have a conveyor belt of *unts. I picked Truss as she inflicted unimageable damage in such a short time. The others did it over a longer period.

Cameroon for the pointless Brexit referendum that he cocked up by not setting a 60:40 margin for change.
There is no way that would have solved the problem. Can you imagine the likes of Farage etc if Leave had won by 52:48 just leaving it there and saying "OK, well we all agreed it had to be 60:40 so the question is put to bed now"?

It would have dragged on for even longer, until we'd have ended up having another referendum, which Leave probably would have won again, and then we'd still be in the process of arguing what Brexit was actually going to look like now.

Cant decide they are all bad.
Unpopular opinion, I'm sure, but have you considered that actually it is a really f***ing hard job? And that the overwhelming majority of the population would be utterly useless at it?
