I was wondering if it would be OK if I catch some of the home games down my mate's house on the telly rather than, you know....4 hours driving....and that...

OK, I'll get my 'badfan' coat

:lolol:
I’m missing Man City and Chelsea thanks to work trips and them being rescheduled.

But I’ve just shelled out a small fortune to go to Newcastle and watch a game from the 42nd floor of a skyscraper, surrounded by horse punching journalist killers. That we’ll lose.

Luckily we seem to have reached that part of the season where the actual game is incidental, and Newcastle is possibly the best night out in the PL. So stop ****ing moaning 🤣

The same knobbers on here bringing up Potter again. f***ing tedious.

We have no centre mid, no wingers who are up to it, a good striker who doesn't score many, injuries at full back, an absolutely knackered Gross.

I really don't know why people think this squad should be doing better. It really isn't very good. Just some young prospects in the keeper, Baleba, Adingra and Pedro.

RDZ needs to find some other ways to play without wingers or
attacking fullbacks (and no Gilmour either). But really, a lot of people need a reality check. Rip the best players out of a side and of course results and performances will fall off a cliff.

I’m very much looking forward to Newcastle. It’ll be a great day out ruined by the football, which is also true of 90% of my Albion fan experience.

He's really annoyed me in recent times. I've supported the club 48 years and this is the Golden Era, all facilitated by a true fan who has been around as long as most of us and has built something, in perspective, that was beyond our dreams.

RDZ has been here two years. He is passing through. And if he cannot respect what the club has achieved and why it does things in the way it does then it may be best if he goes. All his comments just make folk uncertain and put them on edge.

He's a decent manager, not what some elevate him as, but a decent manager. I would be more than happy for him to stay. But he needs to understand that it's Tony Bloom who put the model in place, Tony Bloom who brought us success, and Tony Bloom, and us, who will be here long after he leaves. If he doesn't agree with that he should part with a genuine thank you before it goes all Gus.
Excellent, this about sums it up for me.

RDZ has been good for the club as were Potter , Hughton and Poyet, they all had their strengths but also weaknesses but most importantly they have to fit with what the chairman wants because there is a long-term plan in operation which so far has delivered unbelievable results. We often talk about Hereford but you only need to go back 10 or so years to Hypia and think we have come a very long way - promotion, 7 years in PL, Europe and a stable & sustainable club.

Imagine a world where narrowly not qualifying for a second season in Europe after spending most of the season in the top half of the PL on a bottom 6 budget and topping our group in our first European campaign after a catastrophic series of injuries to key players is considered ‘sad’.

We learn, we adjust, we plan, we come back better prepared next time. That’s how we roll.

Arseholes are like opinions, we all have one.

Not called anyone a licker before and don't intend to now, not sure why he believes I'd do that.

People can say I'm overreacting, that's fine. I tend to. But, you see it every season. A team who has a strong second half to a season usually does very well the next. And the same for a team who has a poor second half to a season, they generally struggle the following season. Add in poor player morale, player sales and a poor attitude from the coach. It doesn't take long to work out how easy the wheels can fall off.
That's bollocks, Bournemouth are doing fine this season and the useless manager they binned off has done a great job at Wolves.

We should of be not be losing to teams like Bumley.

Anyhow. I predicted a draw so I must be clever. That's all the affirmation I need.

In seriousness, we don't have enough men standing to be brilliant right now.

And we were never brilliant. As such.

No idea if RDZ has lost the plot or not. My guess is not. Football is a funny old game.

And....I didn't think a 1-1 at Bumley 'woe is me, gorblimey mister' needed a Special Thread

Just voicing my opinion and concern for the season mr.

We actually played with a different strategy today by playing long balls to Welbeck. He wasn’t great at holding the ball up tbh.
So to say that RDZ isn’t trying new approaches is inaccurate. I think he’s trying to get us through to the end of the season relatively unscathed. Europe is way out of the equation and was before the Burnley game. Our last six games are real hard ones!

Also gives you an excuse to visit Prague if you're looking for one.
I've seen it.

It was rubbish.

Ok, that’s fair! We did.

This is partly where I am and have been for a while, but some players have been ripped out by being sold and some by being injured.

It’s clear we’ve had a tougher season, with more games and a first chance in Europe with a worse squad than last season. Pedro was another great signing but I feel let down by Milner, Fati and Dahood and Igor was always a poor man’s Colwill. I hope lessons have been learned throughout the club.
