That’s obvious. Although I’ve been emphatically told here that a handful of EL games had absolutely effect on PL results, fatigue or stress injuries.

People can say I'm overreacting, that's fine. I tend to. But, you see it every season. A team who has a strong second half to a season usually does very well the next. And the same for a team who has a poor second half to a season, they generally struggle the following season. Add in poor player morale, player sales and a poor attitude from the coach. It doesn't take long to work out how easy the wheels can fall off.

RDZ ‘s tactics have been analysed and every club we play now play to stop Brighton instead of play their own football. The tactics are complex and not easily undone but they are based around us having players like Mitoma, March, Gilmour, Estupinian and, last season, Caicedo and Mac Allister. Players like that can add the game changing spark that RDZ’s tactics assume will be there as an addition. Bluntly, you couldn’t play our football with Colchester’s players.
We’ve not had March for most of the season, Mitoma has played one game all calendar year, Caicedo not replaced and Hinshlewood, who went from a stop gap to one of our best players is also out for the season.
A good coach will work with some of those let downs but to have all of them together for most of the season isn’t in anyone’s plans. Our tactics are based around players who can execute them.
All of those players should be back and refreshed in August and whether it’s RDZ or someone else, we’ll be playing possession based, attacking football. We ain’t gonna hire Dyche.
I don’t mind the OP here. I think @NorthstandRacoon has a point. I’m checked out mentally already and can’t wait for August. I said we were done after Roma and it’s still the case, but it’s because we don’t have the time to reset tactics to the available squad.

Our outlier score was tearing Spuds apart for 4-0, only fatigue/stupidity gifting them inconsequential goals at the end. All Angie had to do was concentrate on 38 games with a vastly more expensive squad.
We might not be in for relegation battle next season a lot will happen before that. New manager and good transfer window and we should be good enough to safely avoid bottom 5. People here tho are acting like we never going to be in relegation battle again but they are wrong of course could be next year could be in 5 but at some point or another it will happen to us like nearly all teams

I said something very similar the other day.
I think the difference is that RDZs football requires more specific characteristics in some positions and it requires players to take more risks. Potter’s football was more controlled and less reliant on individual brilliant and pace in wide areas.
Injuries and increased game time have meant RDZ hasn’t had the characteristics he needs to succeed this year, and he’s struggled to adapt, which is the concern for me. But he’s young and I’m sure he’ll get there.
I was wondering if it would be OK if I catch some of the home games down my mate's house on the telly rather than, you know....4 hours driving....and that...

Personally I think that we can do and should do better and be aiming very high. It’s not entitled at all, it’s just wanting to win trophies and compete with the best which we know we can when we all the stars align.
I'm both awake and don't think that for a single second.
