Our wage bill is 14th in the league

This could end up being our 3rd best league finish in our history

We’ve made record profit

Personally I think some of us have become more than a little bit entitled
I definitely agree in principle, I think we are still punching above our weight considering our spending.

However, I also think we’ve often been pretty shit throughout 2024. Injuries notwithstanding.

It does appear since the Europa exit, the players seem less determined than before and I suspect a few are just looking forward to their holidays.

Need to hit the reset button in the summer to avoid the downturn continuing.

The lady co commentating said " we need to decide if we are a selling club or want to be ambitious." Why do they allow these people who know nothing about our club to even get involved in that sort of statement.
She must support a top five club, probably Chelsea.
A lot of folk don't get the Bloom model. Despite being told that it is how Albion got to Europe and it is the way they have sustained a place upstairs when other clubs traditionally of larger size are in the Championship.

What some folk also don't understand is that 'ambition' = Tony risking more of his money. So much easier when it's someone else's wad.

Albion's issue lately is that they have been playing poorly and the manager keeps gobbing off about his commitment to his position.

Worthing
I think it's unsurprising we are where we are, and indeed it could be a lot worse, given the injuries we've carried through the season. Statistically, the more injuries a team has, the more likely they are to be relegated, so being 10th is actually far better than it seems.
However, as people have commented, our starting 11 should be good enough and recently the team have looked like strangers, so has RDZ lost the dressing room? Does RDZ actually understand what the transfer policy of the club is? If he does, then does he think it's the wrong approach? Has he given up for this season?

I don’t see much difference to the same accusations thrown at Potter
Neither do I, but there are still some numpties around clinging on to their absurd binary trope of 'De Zerbi good, Potter bad' (even today posting that anybody who didn't think Potter was poor 'must have a hard-on for GPot' (extra idiot points for the 'GPot' BTW)). Of course, the binary good/bad trope is rubbish - both managers, for instance, took us to the highest league positions ever in our entire history!
Potter undoubtedly changed the style of play and the mentality of the team when he took over after the last months of Chris Hughton, and he left us in an excellent position, with momentum going forward. It's getting to the point now where I'm starting to wonder whether the foundations Potter laid, and the flying start he gave us to the 2022-23 season, enabled RDZ to 'get away with it' longer than he would have done if he taken over directly from CH.
And no, I'm not going start spouting a 'Potter good de Zerbi bad' mantra - that would be just as rubbish as the Potter haters' (who are probably having their worst day for a long time!) one, and de Zerbi's done good things too - but it does feel as if the wheels on the bus are at least getting a bit wobbly. An interesting (in the very broadest sense of the word) time awaits us in the summer.

We have lost some pace and dynamism over the last few weeks. Mitoma, March and Hinshelwood who gave us a lot of energy down that right hand side.
Added to that Pervis either has an injury or his mind is elsewhere.
Today our fullbacks for the majority of the game were Igor ( who defended well) and Veltman. Hardly the most dynamic fullbacks going forwards.
Having said all this Burnley have been a lot better recently. A 2/2 draw with Cleasea, away, and down to ten men for the majority of the game. I thought they ran their hearts out today for their cause. We lacked cutting edge but some of the comments on NSC are a bit over the top tonight.

He's really annoyed me in recent times. I've supported the club 48 years and this is the Golden Era, all facilitated by a true fan who has been around as long as most of us and has built something, in perspective, that was beyond our dreams.

RDZ has been here two years. He is passing through. And if he cannot respect what the club has achieved and why it does things in the way it does then it may be best if he goes. All his comments just make folk uncertain and put them on edge.

He's a decent manager, not what some elevate him as, but a decent manager. I would be more than happy for him to stay. But he needs to understand that it's Tony Bloom who put the model in place, Tony Bloom who brought us success, and Tony Bloom, and us, who will be here long after he leaves. If he doesn't agree with that he should part with a genuine thank you before it goes all Gus.

football has been boring for months, with the odd exception. We very rarely score, especially more than 1. Yes no March or Mitoma but RDZ should be getting more out of this squad.

I don’t see much difference to the same accusations thrown at Potter
Brighton 4 Spurs 2
Sheffield United 2 Brighton 5
Sheffield United 0 Brighton 5
Brighton 4 Palace 1

Don’t remember Potter putting games like that out in the middle of his bad patches.

What a season, but that today was shite and for me marked a sad end to an incredible season. As I really cannot see us getting Europe unless God grants us a miracle. I really hope I look an idiot come May, but my gut says otherwise.

Defensively in midfield we were awful. No one marked their opposite number correctly, we left gaping holes in midfield and in attack we were tactically woeful. Why oh why are we trying to walk it in. So f***ing predictable. Against a good side we would have been pumped. We didn’t even bother to attack our corners and defend much out wide.

Think RDZ really needs to learn alot and show a more flexible approach..we are crying out for a decent CDM as we all know, but that wasn’t good enough for a side supposedly trying to get Europe for a 2nd successive season.

Excited to see what happens in the Sunmer.
Imagine a world where narrowly not qualifying for a second season in Europe after spending most of the season in the top half of the PL on a bottom 6 budget and topping our group in our first European campaign after a catastrophic series of injuries to key players is considered ‘sad’.

We learn, we adjust, we plan, we come back better prepared next time. That’s how we roll.

It was never a top 7 centre midfield, our fate was sealed by 1 September. Some wonderful PL football for 6 games, then that CM found its level. Similarly called by many posters last July/Aug, a gaping hole at FB’s, just an injury to Veltman/Estupinan away from another major weakness. Hinshelwood got us out of jail for 2 or 3 months.

Lamptey and Milner (now) don’t have the attributes to be quality FB’s in a back 4.
