I went to London a few weeks ago and was brutally killed 17 times in 3 hours. Hate it when that happens.
Well, yes, I stopped going there when I was savagely beaten up and broke three legs. That was just at the Victoria ticket barrier. Evil place.

It it?

Is it really?
I was there couple of weeks ago, Liverpool street, as we moved our office and I had to relocate the network devices. I survived and went to Liverpool on the Sunday after for our match, thankfully my brain was able to work out the difference between the two locations.

Many of the areas regularly referred to as "no-go" have been dodgy areas for decades.
Every city/Town has them.

The hyperbole helps keep the culture war going though.
This.

Just spent a day in The City in a couple of offices and a pub. The only threat was the hundreds of Jeremy Vine wannabes riding through red lights on overpriced Bromptons*.

I probably wouldn’t have felt so safe in Newham. Today or 40 years ago.

*yes @Stat Brother this is hyperbole. Can’t have been more than 10 at each set of lights

Technically Alan Yentob wannabes.

The Bromptons only cycle on the pavement.

As I've just seen Susan Hall on local news, it's worth just analysing who the Conservatives is the best person to run London.

"Jewish People are scared of Sadiq Khan", correct me if I'm wrong that was even before the terrorist attack on Israel ?

Liked tweets on Twitter about Enoch Powell

"Wallet Gate" - claimed her wallet had been stolen and blamed Sadiq Khan. She actually dropped it and it was handed back.

Agreed initially the US Election was stolen by the Democrats

There is tons more, I can't be bothered. This is who your Government want to run your capital city.

Saint Paul's Bristol was pretty f***ing scary in the early 90s

Hyde Park Corner in Leeds had the 2 of the most burgled streets in England in the early 90s

Seven Sisters Road in that London was pretty f***ing dodgy in the late 80s.

Only time I have been really scared was Polegate railway station car park late at night in the mid 90s

Susan Hall is a mentalist.
Way beyond anything Liz Truss or Lee Anderson can be accused of.

Some very sensible and nice people (who have ran my council brilliantly for years before they lost control) will be knocking on my door trying to convince that this bat shit crazy excuse for a public servant is best for London.

But it's quite bizarre how they got here.

Shaun Bailey (the previous candidate) didn't stand for selection, but after Christmas Party Gate I'm not sure he could.

Paul Scully MP was up for it and wasn't selected. Seemed a reasonably straight talking Conservative. Apologised (rightly) for comments about no-go areas in London but has Burmese heritage. Seemed the right man for the job. Very odd.

Daniel Korski was seemingly leading the race, but was forced to stand down. You can read the reasons here.

Whatever was left was won by the appalling Susan Hall. The only reason I can think of is that they thought this bat shit crazy "far right liking" oddball would lose but help frighten enough people about that foreign looking Khan. Therefore frightening people generally in terms of the general election.

It's worked to an extent, in that social media is literally tanked with openly racist pond life who pontificate about "Londonistan", whilst their only visit to London was to see a bloke in Romford who sold them an illegal breed dog for cash.

Where it hasn't worked is that Susan Hall (if the polls are correct) will lose much badly than thought, right bang before a general election. Very difficult for the Tories to explain away that that one when Khan is in reality quite a divisive figure who doesn't communicate that well and the very known Johnson held the city for a couple of terms.

Susan Hall is easily the worst candidate the Tories have ever put forward to win an election ever.

Zak Goldsmith was pretty awful… I think this sad sack is worse.

Dalston in the 90s was quite special, but....

As a Londoner (and most Londoners know) if you want to avoid having something stolen you are careful in tourist areas.

In all of 30 years the only time someone tried to mug me was Brit Pop era in the 90s. Yes I've seen gang violence first hand, but statistically they aren't bothered with me.

Because of social media incidents are uploaded instantly, there was a bit of trouble in Camberwell the other day. But you have to understand the mindset of a Londoner.

If something is happening in Camberwell, that might as well be happening in Portsmouth. It's a different "town".

It was clear Zak was being advised to say so, silly man. This one is completely unadvisable, talking about farmland "in London" that isn't in London.

To clarify what I stated earlier, I forgot that the gerrymandering party had changed the electoral system up here. Susan Hall will lose, but I'm unsure of the degree to which she will lose by at the moment. I'll have to think about that :)

I'm pretty familiar with Camberwell as a frequent patient at KCH. The main drag from Ruskin Park to the Green can be a bit lively. But I've generally been more concerned about the existential threat of the strange churches in the area rather than the desperate drug addicts, alcoholics and homeless.

(And I do go out for a walk at night when I'm in hospital because I like walking around at night, it helps me.)

On the subject of strange churches, I was walking up the side of Wandsworth common a few months ago towards Clapham Junction.

I heard screaming from one of the side roads and walked down to investigate.

Strange Church.

Long story not for now, but I'm spent a lot of time with people who are members of such Churches over the last couple of years. There are clearly not a threat to the country, but are often a potential threat to their members well being both mentality and financially.

Christian extremism in the UK is very very much a thing. I was of the very wrong belief they tended to mostly emanate from and target African communities in London.

I was very wrong. The reality is they come from basically anywhere (a few from South America) and target anyone who gets sucked into the belief that God will make you rich if you pass over a large slice of your income.

The leader of the church flies in a private jet and so can you, AKA The Prosperity Gospel.

Often a clear scam that the authorities tend to avoid. I get really annoyed by the argument that it's ok to have a go at Christianity but attacking Islam is something you can't get away with. The line in the Alan Partridge film was very well observed.

To all you well meaning Christians, I'm not one of you but have the deepest respect for your faith due to my mother. There are thousands in London alone being exploited in the name of your God and my mother 100% agreed.

Although not their fault and responsibility, I wish the good churches worked harder to call them out. Please.

I know my church and several others that warn about the Prosperity Gospel. Unfortunately, it’s rife.
