Presumably (and I've not made any effort to read into this) that translates into a significant reduction on those decisions that currently take to long, and barely any reduction on the majority of decisions which already barely take any time to check anyway.
I'd only have goal line technology, VAR reviews on whether fouls happen in or outside the box and off the ball incidents.
Maybe a referee for each half of the pitch. The Premier League to use its millions to invest in a retired player pathway for them to become referees and officials. Maybe that might also help with some post retirement troubles that are so widely reported, as well as getting rid of the argument that the refs have never played the game.
Quite frankly, I HATE everything about VAR as it currently stands. I want to feel the elation when we score and only need to check the lino skipping back towards the halfway line to know it's a goal. I even want to feel the despair when we concede. I don't want the hope that VAR might give us a reprieve only to feel that despair twice over. And yes, I don't feel elation twice when VAR gives us our goal.
