Has anyone got any parking suggestions for Turf Moor this Saturday such as safe area’s or car parks near the ground?

There's a bingo place in a very agreeable location for leaving.

Sorry I can't remember the name but it's round the corner from the Dyche pub.
Cost a couple of quid but as said you'll be looking at Bumley in the rear view mirror quicker.

I haven’t used the cricket ground before for parking. Can anyone who has done so previously say what it’s like in terms of a quick getaway. I know it’s next door to the football ground but do you end up getting stuck in the immediate congestion after the game?
I usually park a bit away from the ground.
i never leave before the end of the match!

Loads of paid for parking in the town centre and the ground is not too far to walk to.
I drove last season and looking at the map I think I ended up in Charter Walk.

Cricket club next door, perfect and used it last season. Safe and easy access. Only about £6-7 also.

By comparison to Falmer it’s lightening. But by time walked back and crowds dispersing it’s not too long a wait. Depends on where in cricket park slightly, and when you leave ground obviously. I was away within 30mins of final whistle last season and had stood to applaud players off / celebrate victory with them doing the usual post match celebrations with the away crowd. Regardless of how fast you leave Burnley, the M6 is going to d uck you up somewhere later on. Usually Knutsford, Nantwich or Sandbach which have obligatory accidents or breakdowns every time in at least one direction if not both. So relax and download some podcasts. All about the prep!

Btw many people on here will tell you it’s a grim northern racist town but it’s actually more than ok. I like Turf Moor. Loads of their fans are perfectly nice and friendly to have a chat and beer with in numerous pubs. Yes there are some idiots, but as always, we’ve got ours too. See Europe away threads and Argus for banning orders.

I'm meeting a couple of Burnley STHs that I know for a beer before the game. They do like to point out that they don't actually live in Burnley itself :D And the chap is actually a United fan but earns brownie points going with his Mrs to Turf Moor.

I parked at Charter Walk a couple of years ago - bit slow getting away but wasnt too bad. This time I have booked the Burnley Masonic Lodge - reckons about a 15 minute walk to the ground but looks pretty close to the motorway

I'm driving this year, as our train line is out of action. I drove once before, and just got there at lunchtim and parked up a side street - which was empty at the time. Not too slow to get away.
