Played 43 Won 18 Drawn 11 Lost 14. Those are very good stats for this season, considering. Roberto has done an excellent job again
FWIW I moaned yesterday at the lack of fight. I didn’t expect us to win, I expect us to show a bit more fight than we’ve shown for the last few weeks.
If that makes me “entitled” then so be it. But we do need a new midfield in the summer. And should have signed a winger in January.

We all see things differently, but I didn't think we were out fought yesterday, just beaten by a team at the top of their game.
I'd agree that we needed and still need recruits, but where we are in the food chain means that needing them and getting them are not always easily matched. Gil looked like the temporary winger option in January, but didn't fancy it and Leicester wouldn't sell KDH. Talk Sport were reporting a couple of weeks ago that we're still interested in KDH and might be looking at Reiss Nelson as a winger. Might not be any truth in it, but I believe that the club know what's needed and will try to get whoever they think they can. Doesn't mean it will happen.

I couldn’t be arsed to read the whole op as it renders horribly on a mobile phone and looks like an essay to rival Paul Barber but going on the post title I don’t see any fan meltdown. I see some understandable debate about the manager, the uncertainty surrounding him, how that might be affecting the squad, and perspectives on how we are playing. Or is that a meltdown in these sensitive times? I’m not sure I know what’s what anymore.

Thank you @Stato for taking the time to put that together. I think the majority of our fan base accept that our club are punching well above their weight, but it does get very frustrating when some people fail to understand the economic constraints facing a club of our size.

And I can't dream of rivalling PBOBE. I was thinking the other day that, long winded though he might be, what other CEO of an EPL side has ever had a celebratory thread on a fan's forum when he's signed a new contract?

Good post - It would have made a life-saving addition to my own thread last month where I ended up being mercilessly criticised and trolled for trying much the same approach - accused of implying some fans were getting a little entitled or I was not allowing them to have post match rants (which wasn’t the case at all!) -

I started that thread because of sentiments that were being expressed like this - which is also how I felt too
I don’t think you will convince some people tbh, even with statistics and common sense, that the bottom hasn’t fallen out of our club, that RDZ hasn’t basically dragged the level of our play down; has not lost interest; hasn’t half a foot out of the door so be best to fcuk off now; is not really an egotistical maniac that has fallen out with the board; that TB should have spent more money if he wanted to keep RDZ on board; that our buy low sell high sustainability policy is failing us (even with record breaking profits!) - some people just don’t want to hear that maybe, just maybe, last season was a largely anomalous season where the squad came together brilliantly, where we weren’t also contending for Europe nor had a gruelling and extraordinary time with the number of injuries as we’ve had this season - but that overall, as a Club, we are in a very good place, with excellent leadership and some incredible talent amongst our players.
I still can’t understand why certain people get so offended if anyone makes an effort to inject a little reality into the situation and provide some perspective, even when those that try, go out of their way to say our performances have been below par and any effort to be positive/provide some perspective is NOT an attempt to criticise others or papering over our weaknesses

Not sure where you got that impression from. I thought I was being clear that I remember Charlton fans moaning for a few years that their season was over by February, out of the cups and safe in the league by February. The very essence of “Be careful what you wish for!” They sacked Curbishley...
