There not. They got beaten by a better team.
Whether we like it or not the squad in terms of overall quality is less than it was last year in key areas it was unlikely to end the same way this season even without key injuries.

Death by 1000 half arsed performances against the bottom feeders has taken its toll.
It hasn’t. Everything is going to click back into place and we’ll end the season with 6 wins and 1 draw (against Man City - I’m not completely deluded) and finish 6th!

Since Mitoma got injured,
I knew we would lose against Wolves in the FF Cup and get knocked out of Europe once he joined the injury list , I knew the season was over , indeed said so at the time , I also said our form would drop off , until the last couple of games when most of the injured players would be back , and we might win a couple of games at the end of the season, when it is too late to make much difference,
Basically the club was not prepared for the season , not enough signings in the transfer windows, to cover the players at have left ,

Agree with this; 2024 has been a slow decline compared to 2023.

If we had added Kudus & KDH things would have been a whole lot different.
We always seem to struggle in those games, but have made up for it by performing in the tougher games. We now seem to have lost that fight too.

Also agree. Mitoma makes a massive difference and we have to keep him. When he marauders down that wing drawing 2 or 3 players out to stop him, we have space to create those chances to put away!
