... that a little-known Swedish band comprising Agnetha Fältskog, Sven Ulvaeus, David Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with their catchy pop tune 'Waterloo'. Today of course the world knows them better as ASDA

At the end of my tether
I was in the Black Horse opposite the Dome at the time all that was happening…. Bah ! .. I grew out of watching Eurovision when I was 12 years old and I have never liked ABBA.. All this nostalgia is boring..

I was on a school trip to the Royal Pavilion on the Friday.

We saw all the contestants doing a photo shoot on the green in front.

Can I claim to have seen ABBA before they were famous?
My Dad ran Brighton Music Library, which was then in a smallish room in the Dome buildings, and they had to move out for the duration of the event. So, can I claim to be part of a family that helped ABBA win?

The Music Library then went over the road to what is now Cote Brassiere in Church Street. It had an old theatre upstairs which was quite odd.

My father in law was a stage hand on the night. He’s a current STH.

It's the first one I remember watching all the way through. I've got tickets for Malmo this year so it feels like I've come full circle. My my!

Mama mia, here we go again. Water loo on about dissing one of the greatest bands of the late 20th century. gimme, gimme, gimme them over a lot of dross that came from that era. At least one of us likes them...I do, I do etc...
Poor attempt really, it was funnier in my head

My Dad knew the cabbie who took them back to their hotel after the show.

Why couldn't the lazy bastards have walked I say?

Can you tell me a bit about Brighton Music Library, please?
