The one thing they had going for them under Hodgson was their ability to grind out results against much better sides. What a shame it would be if that's come to an end.
They have a chance in their next match at Anfield to prove to the Palace faithful that they can park a few coaches and keep the shop closed.

Can I gloat now or do I have to wait until later this evening?

Others are already gloating, but I think we may need to wait a while and see how many we lose by.

The thing is, I'm not sure City have played all that well. They've been untidy and nervous on the ball, snatching and trying to force things. Certainly not, except for occasional moments, their usuel free-flowing selves, even while dominating position and territory it's been a little ugly from them.

Will Hughes looks like the school kid who forgot his footie boots and is made to play in this normal shoes.
Did palace buy him from Argentina in January, as well?

Carney saying they can see the light at the end of the tunnel after hiring Glasper and there will be plenty of transfer activity in the summer.
Are they going to dip into the money ringfenced for cladding?
If they can see the light it must be a 40 watt bulb.

Is this Dyche’s first visit to Burnley managing an opposition side?

Must be weird for Burnley fans seeing him in the opposition dugout

Were my ears deceiving me or did I here the City fans singing "we forgot you were here" when Palace got a late consolation and their Ultra fanatics must have woken up ?

But Selhurst is always the greatest atmosphere in Europe , so I've been told

Smug’s level of cheating is reaching new levels - keeper went down like he’s done his ACL, trainer on for 2-3 mins, during which time all 10 outfield players are over with Howe clearly being coached. Meanwhile the sub keeper is NOT even warming up!! Predictably keeper makes a miraculous recovery. Clearly all premeditated.
