There’s an inaugural Ottawaish Seagulls meetup for the Arsenal match tomorrow. 5 or 6 of us currently down to attend. If there’s any more of you out there pm me for details!

As someone between the two, I'd rather go to Ottawa. But sadly it is not likely to happen in the foreseeable future as I work Sunday mornings in Muskoka.

Don't worry, tomorrow's not a one-off. I'm pretty sure we'll get along well enough (unless @Marty McFly comes to High Fives dressed in red and blue stripes ) to continue with these brunches every now and again.

I saw this place does a full English brekkie. Wondering whether I can poutinise the hash browns.

…awaits someone saying hash browns don’t belong in a full English… or poutine is only ever chips, cheese and gravy…

There isn't a single eatery in all of Eastern Ontario that can't upgrade chips/fries to poutine, so don't you worry, lol

I lived in West Ottawa (Poulin Avenue) wayyyyy back in 1979. Scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win over Gatineau, the big Anglo-French crunch match. it was broadcast on local public service broadcasting. My only ever televised winning goal.

Ottawa's spread so far - and fast - that's pretty much downtown now! Did you know that the Carlingwood Mall now has Canada's largest Canadian Tire? Quite the claim to fame, eh.

Considering my newish location I have mixed feelings on your winning goal

I went to Woodroffe High School. I remember having to walk over colossal snow plough mountains to get across the main road. 45 years ago, blimey. I lived on the 18th floor of the western most tower block, bet they’re looking a bit tired now.
