I know……….fashion goes in cycles etc etc, what goes around comes around blah blah……….

But the state of this! White flares with printed/spangly bits, possibly with a matching shirt. Really? Maybe just a Liverpool thing.
Did Worthington, Best, Bowles etc ever really look so preposterous whilst trying to look cool?

Photo's of people in the 70s makes me think there was a lack of haidressers in the decade. I am just please I was a child then so was not responsible for the way I looked.

Ah, that probably explains why there are twenty three Turkish hairdressers in Southwick and three in every village now then.

Yep had a similar haircut, hated it, so much so I took to wearing a tea cosy...

Never as ichy or scratchy as the worsted wool trousers I was subjected too. The 70s has much to answer for.

I used to hate those trousers. I was forced to wear them at every family event with a shirt and and an unmatching tank top, hair glued in place with Cossack spray.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
I would have killed for a pair of very tight 24 inch flared jeans in 1974 - except my Mum flatly refused to buy them for me because she said they looked ridiculous.

And she was right - they did. Which was the whole point.
