Blimey that was hard to watch. It’s like they all agreed to not run faster than Groß all game. Even I could have played that match!
I guess at least there is little chance of injury if you don’t go above 2 mph.
Still. Another point and clean sheet.
Yes it was a hard watch. The walking football at the local park is probably faster.

Play in the final third is tedious. At some point, somebody has to at least try to cross the ball in, and have a punt.

I just hope after that 24 shots, 6 on target a 90 year old granny could've saved the Arsenal fans aren't chanting "boring Boring Brighton" on Saturday; though having said that a nil nil bore draw would be some achievement (against Arsenal)- really we should be thrashing rubbish like Brentford. Very frustrated and disappointed.

This game really showed what a one man team we can be - massive Mitoma shaped hole in the squad.
Come on... we created a good number of goal opportunities.... finishing is shocking... nothing wrong with the approach play at all, even without Mitoma.

I just don’t understand why we slow everything down and turn back every single time in the final third.
I appreciate I am no more qualified than football manager and Sunday league but, if we put some crosses in, had some shots from distance then defenders would engage and create the spaces for those intricate passing patterns. By doing the same thing every time, it becomes predictable and so easy to defend as they know Baleba and Lallana can’t hit a barn door from half a yard away.

We’ve seen before how amazing we look when we zip it around and pass and move quickly. Am I missing something or is there a tactical reason we don’t even seem to be trying to do that any more?
They seem dead scared to loose the ball.

Thought it was always gonna be a tough game. Only one winger and about 4 number 10s making up our midfield and front line. Brentford happy to sit deep and narrow so we are gonna struggle with not much pace or width. Still solid defensively and a good point. I think Welbeck made a big difference. Need to extend his contract ASAP.

Agree.

That's enough chances to get us the goal to win the game.

Some shocking finishing in that game. The horrific shanks off the weaker feet of Lallana and Baleba should cost them both a weeks wages

It doesn’t help with De Zerbi throwing himself around and slumping in his seat every time something isn’t 100% perfect. I know he demands perfection but his reaction to Veltman missing that chance with his left foot was poor IMO. He’s a right footed defender who narrowly missed a left footed shot in the attacking third and De Zerbi looked like someone had snapped spaghetti in half in front of him. Bit OTT which maybe alludes to your comment about being scared to do the wrong thing.

A one on one is what it say on the tin. Defenders snapping on your heels is par for the course.
How can it possibly be a one on one when a defender got a block in? By definition that means an extra player in the equation.

But then I’m a bit irascible following yet another frustrating evening. Ignore me. I would.
