They were filming from behind her - the police officer was in shot the whole time.
There was a film crew there and two of my colleagues stood right behind her who were speaking to the two suspects. It’s all edited down to make good telly.
She was not alone.
As for “bizzies”. They’re not named that because they’re “too busy to help”. Nonsense.

Felt really sad for the 50 year old guy who was found in the graveyard and then he phoned the police lady after not getting in the train to say he had had enough.
Hi was bipolar and had it since he was a teenager. The police stayed with him and he asked an impossible question of Anne the very caring police lady. “ why can’t I just kill myself. Why do people want to stop me”. It was absolutely heartbreaking
They called in and got one policeman to take the chap home to his dad
For a first world country who once ruled half the planet, we have fallen so far we do not have the capacity to look after our most vulnerable and mentally challenged people

I also think it’s a National shame that you and many others fail to mention in cases such as these the extreme professionalism and care that the two Police Officers showed in helping the lad get two his dad, having travelled extensively around this world and in my younger days having a few brushes with the foreign law our Police Service in the most is the best in the World.

That is a bit left field. Where did I criticise the police? Did you not read it properly. What an amazing comment
You didn’t criticise the Police, you chose to criticise Great Britain suggesting it’s fallen so far, i think the work those Police Officers in some respects shows what a modern and compassionate country we are, that’s all

Was watching this the other night when my 20-year-old, who's home from uni, shouted 'THAT'S ME!'. Thankfully, he wasn't being arrested for taking a leak on the wall of Molly Malone's or lamping a bouncer, he was just in the queue for Pryzm which, on reflection, is almost as bad.

Going to get political here, as I expect I did in the other thread.
I've two shops on the seafront. I pay all my taxes, VAT and rates, as do all the other small independant shops in town (well most).
And yet I never see a copper on the streets during the day. I lose around £20 a day of goods to shoplifters but calling the police is a waste of time as they never turn up. Serious attack in the chip shop next door with 6 guys beating up 1 guy, no police.
A bloke filled his shopping bag with my stuff and I followed him on a 999 call, no police.
A group causing trouble in the block of 3 shops including one of mine, harrasing staff, opening cans of drink and being a nuisance. No police.
So when these shows come up on TV showing 10's of coppers all on duty overnight I know why there are no police on the streets during the day. It's not a lack of police, it's that they are working the wrong shift for the majority of Brightonians.
