Ahem, now no longer from work on ranges for various Forces, frequently offered a shoot as a bonus at the end the day. A few rounds on Glocks & more nautically a SH&K G36C (single fire).

I can even tell you the day.
15th October 1966, whilst on holiday in Blackpool with my parents, they bought me a gun that fired some sort of round ball. Nothing more than a kiddy toy. I know the date because we drove home the day of the Aberfan disaster.
Were the pellets a gold colour, could have been a Sekiden..

Went to a firing range in Vegas a few years back. Let off a few rounds from a Luger, a Browning and some other semi-automatic I can't remember which. Managed to hit the paper target with each, which was pleasing, but I didn't feel the need to go and shoot up a school afterwards.

Oh yeah, clay pigeon shooting too, with buckshot.

The airborne skeets were pretty easy, but when they fired them along the ground (a rutted field), they were absolute b*stards to hit. I was feeling quite cocky after hitting most of the airborne ones, but was brought right back down to earth trying to hit the ones that skip along like rabbits. Wellard.

I grew up in the countryside and my cousins have a farm so lots of air rifles. They were part of the county set so they were into the shoots on private estates. I never went.

I did clay pigeon shooting on a stag do and hated it. Guns are grim.

Shortly after I left the village where I grew up in Devon a kid was shot after being mistaken for a fox when people were out lamping (where you dazzle the fox and shoot it). Horrific incident. Horrific hobby.

Only an air pistol, lots of mates had them in the 70s.

I’ve been shot with an air gun and had a shotgun fired above my head (wrong place, wrong time)

Filled my boots in Riga (Latvia) and also Las Vegas. The health and safety measures in Riga were a bit slapdash to say the least. One of our group fired a shotgun at a target and missed so badly he hit the steel beam above him. Thankfully the ricochet hit the fence to the side.

Which productions have you appeared in?
Have you killed or been killed by anyone famous?
I did it for 15 years so a fair few. From the dizzying depths of straight to streaming rubbish through Midsomer Murders and Dr Who to big budget film stuff.

I have been killed by among others, Scott Eastwood, Brad Pitt, Tom Hardy, some bird off Casualty who used to be fit but isn’t now, and some mates who made a film.

I have a friend who is a ballistics expert/consultant. He picked 5 guns and we took them to his range. (Not UK based) They varied in power from the lowest to highest. I can remember a glock and the last being a magnum. One shot per gun.

The magnum was unbelievable….. doing it the once has answered all my required gun questions….. not worried about doing it again.

Shotgun: regularly on game Sept-Jan 2x sometimes 3x days a week (everything shot is eaten), out of season once a month on clays to keep my eye in.
Rifle: v rarely if out with someone, but there is a lot to think about, bullets travel a bloody long way and you need to think about safety if you miss. Not really a fan.

Once shot an Ak47 at a destoyed tank in the Egyptian Western Desert, it was one of our security crews gun on a field trip out there. A teeth rattler!

It's a shame you weren't killed by Scott's father in one of his many iconic film shoot outs. That would have been a real claim to fame. Was it a Western in which Scott killed you and did you get to wear a cowboy hat? And given their shared facial resemblance did you fantasize that it was Clint who was shooting you?

Can you also give more details of your various death throes in your evidently varied dying repertoire. Did any involve falling from tall buildings?

And how did the bird off Casualty who used to be fit but isnt now kill you?
And more importantly was she still fit when she killed you?

Asking for a friend.
