Ali Mac 9.5 MotM -- what a player, the two touches to set up their winner were sublime. At the moment, looks like we misread things and he's a better player than Caicedo -- playing at a well-run club might have something to do with that

Accurate comment. Many, many posters said Caicedo was superior to Mac, some derogitory that Mac had no pace and would flop, that only the brilliance of Messi got him a WC medal.

But others including me thought Mac was incredible in the WC and for us, the complete player.

Never misread. AliMac is a (key/influential) World Cup Winner with Brighton and was imho a complete footballer. HUGE miss and virtually impossible to fill despite Gilmour’s efforts.
