I was thinking the same one losing against them after hitting the woodwork 4 times. Really set the tone of the entire season. Good football and terrible results

That's the one I immediately thought of. Was watching with a Villa fan in a bar on Crete. The Villa fan was as angry about what happened as I was.

Not sure if it was last minute, but remember a crushing defeat away at Chesterfield around 2000/01 season when we were both going for the title. Oatway had been sent off sometime in the match and we deserved a point and a late goal did for us.

But 'honourable' mention to the Benteke goal at the Amex during Covid times. Went to bed numb. Shocked and angry in equal measures

Especially as the BBC had already shown it as a draw at FT - so I went off to make a cup of tea.

It was only later I found out we'd lost.

The Villa goal that cost us the title and me £1k. Have it in my mind to ask Stockdale for it if I ever bump into him. We could have had a chair in goal that day and come away with the win.
