Great band. A&M was the first album I ever bought.

Worthing
Not at all. Which makes me wonder if it really was The Clash.

I can't find aything online, and there seems to be no record of Scrits playing the Top Rank. But they did. And I saw them. And it was 1979/80 when I lived in Brighton for 9 months after finishing uni. And I remember it as the Clash gig. Pete Townshend did the encore with the Clash. I saw it.

Weird.
Fibber….. That’s you on ignore now

I had Forever Live and Die on repeat in the late 80's..The dome is a much better venue for them, would be interested to know if they open with Enola Gay or close with it?? Decisions decisions...
The latter it seems...

had tickets to see them in Nottingham couple of weeks ago - gutted had to sell them re need to work late that night - so could escape down the Amex for the Roma game - have seen them a few times, always excellent - was really looking forward to it too, but will hopefully be another tour eventually - tickets went after 40 minutes on Twickets

I'm very very annoyed that I've been down with the lurgi this week so missed it. They were great at the Brighton Centre a few years back for the M&A anniversary tour, plus saw them at Albert Hall in one of those Prof Brian Cox/Robin Ince Christmas shows. Brian Cox was brought on to to do the keyboard bit in Enola Gay and looked like a kid with the keys to a sweet shop.

Did he do that funny dance thing where it looks like he turns his arms inside out?

Bath, Somerset.
Did they get bottled off stage like Clash support bands frequently did?
Once saw the pre-commercial Human League get bottled off after two numbers supporting Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Saw OMD in Bristol last week, for the first time.

Have been to 100s of gigs, but this was one of the best I've ever attended.

They were clearly enjoying themselves, Andy McCluskey was a non-stop bundle of energy and dad-dancing, and the latest album is a real return to form, with Kleptocracy a particular highlight.

Oh, and the support band, Walt Disco, were amazing too.

I saw them at the dome, early to mid 90's. They were fantastic, we were in the wings but everyone just got up went to the middle and started dancing on seats, aisle wherever. Great night. Will check out their new album.
