Nah. The few small groups of t***s are abusive to fellow fans and don’t give a sh*t about whether they are impacting the enjoyment of others. It’s the nature of the slagging off of the players that’s different to what’s on here. Very different from someone on their phone or tapping away an angry post on their keyboard when they get home. The beer thing is a right pain if you’re in the same row (I can manage to go 90 mins without a beer so the queues don’t affect me, so maybe I have a different view on that).
The banning order will be on any DBS check I think.

Yes it will, I believe it will also always show on an enhanced check even when the offence is spent.

He was standing on a staircase punching Alkmaar fans who were trying to invade that end.
If defending others is a mitigation for using violence, where do you draw the line? Fans are at risk from injury from missiles being thrown just the same as a punch.
As I said, inconsistent.

The West Ham bloke was literally fending off Alkmaar fans to stop them getting in amongst a family zone. He was actually defending people.
The knobend at AEK throwing punches at some herberts across the netting was doing nothing whatsoever to stop their fans lobbing stuff over. It had zero impact. It made no difference whatsoever.
The truth of the matter was, he just fancied dishing out a few slaps. He wasn't preventing anything, or defending himself, or anyone else. Just an opportunity to punch a few people for no particular reason other than to look 'ard in front of his mates.

I think he is just a bit of an idiot rather than a better view - as I stood next to the perspex upper tier on the right & saw some goading on both sides (nothing beyond ordinary @ a PL game), before an AEK fan tried to snatch a BHA flag; and various missiles - cups of water, other liquids available, chucked at those in the very front row.

When I was a teenager at the Goldstone and in my first flush of testosterone and alcohol, there were always a few older blokes hanging around trying to impress us mouthy teenagers. Thought they were weirdos then and my opinion certainly hasn't changed over the years
Defending others ? Self defence ? Getting a few digs in ? Stitched up by Sussex plod ? Standing his ground ? Equally pathetic and Desperate
