Hi Brighton fans,

My name is Matt, I am a Researcher at the University of Leicester. I am conducting some research on Talksport radio and am looking to speak to Talksport listeners in order to gain an understanding of what makes the station popular and how listeners feel about various presenters and contributors to the station.

I have nothing to say about Talksport, I've looked at their website once it a while. Doesn't look like particularly great content.

But I did do my undergraduate degree at Leicester. So thumbs up for that.

They call everyone a “Legend” or if it’s Keown “one of the invincibles”. In other words Jim White sucks up to everyone.

They glorify Alan Brazil’s drinking whilst claiming to take mental health issues seriously.

Jim White loves everyone. He's the biggest brown-nose in the media, his endless fawning over Simon Jordan is nauseating and embarrassing. And the hyperbole has to be heard to be believed.

Jim white annoying and a bit of a brown noser.
Jordan OK in the main.
hawksbee and jacobs my favourite segment.
bent and the other guy that follows h&j ok too.
too many gambling adverts and the subject matter tends to be repetitive.
don’t like matterface.
the Oliver geezer that does the boxing is pretty good.

The gambling stuff is insufferable. Every show pockmarked by some herbert from a betting company getting a sponsored slot to persuade listeners to lose their money.

I semi-listen 8 hours a day, Mon-Fri whilst WFH.
