On a side note, there is no chocolate quite like an Easter egg. It’s something I’ve felt from a young age - it always tastes different and very nice. Like an advent calendar, although that’s not that nice. Either that or the egg shape & occasion gives me a false perception of good tasting.

This thread reminded me that I hadn't bought myself an Easter egg yet so I duly added a Mini Eggs Easter egg to my online shop last night.
This turned up instead of my Mini Egg egg and I don't know what to make of it!! White chocolate Creme egg?? I've kept in in the name of research but I won't be able to report back on findings until after Easter. I just seems very odd & I'd imagine it to be more sickly than a normal Creme egg.

I love both but the OP asked me for a decision so it’s a packet of Mini Eggs, the crème egg is gone in one maybe two bites the mini eggs will continue to satisfy me for at least 10 minutes more 😉

Edit Now if they introduced packets of mini crème eggs….

Creme Eggs you can only eat one before doubting your life choices. Mini Eggs a whole bag so I will go with Mini Eggs.
It's like you read my mind....

Good god Mini eggs are nice.

I'm pretty sure they did. They weren't as mini as actual mini eggs, more like half-sized Creme Eggs.

Edit: yes, still available:

Little Miss GB, who fancies herself as the next Heston Blumenthal, has just MICROWAVED the last of the Mini Eggs in this house. Apparently the shell stays crisp but the chocolate melts inside. Supposedly delicious so I’ll have to get another couple of packs tomorrow and try it for myself.

I imagine she got the idea from Tok Tok as that’s where pretty much all of her food trends are from.
I can report back that, when done properly, the microwaved mini egg is a thing of beauty. Same shell but with warm liquid chocolate inside.

Done badly they are either unchanged, like molten lava or cracked.

Little Miss GB and I will continue to experiment next week. It’s the least I can do for you all.

Crème eggs are utterly revolting.

Im struggling to think of ANY (UK) chocolate treat worse.

(obviously all American ‘candy’ nonsense, is worse)

Creme eggs were, are, and will be forever, far too sickly. I've gone for mini eggs and, as per the opening video, will be looking out for the 1kg pack!! That said, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the caramel egg (notwithstanding one ref to a 'rolo egg' which is probably the same).
