Is it true that C4 lose the England games contract after this season?

God I hope so. The commentators and pundits match Southgate’s wooden football … fkn boring.

The ‘fill every silence with noise’ commentator kept mentioning PL clubs, whilst upping the decibels over run of the mill England plays near the centre line with 11 Brazilians still to beat.

I didn’t have the volume up so much as I was chatting with my kids whilst the game was on but I did notice during the substitutions that the on-screen graphic read Player Out and Player In

That pretty much told me all I needed to know about the extent to which C4 ‘get’ football…

BBC analysis on our woeful central defence. They should’ve had at least three goals after the huge gaff by Maguire and a 3 on 1 in the last seconds.

Everything England do on the field is hampered by, or in spite of, Southgate.

1-nil down at Wembley with 15 mins to go and it felt like I was watching an Over 50s walking football match at Southwick Leisure Centre.

Managers move on, but don’t usually take 9 staff all at once with them. Two or three maybe?
How long would he last when he gets another offer?
Hey you never know he might bring them back with him, there are still a lot of players in the squad, not to mention staff that woke up dazed and confused when he left, it would take a lot to get their trust back. Personally, I don't see it happening and I don't think I want him back either, good coach that he was.

Not forgetting that by his actions bringing him back would violate our no dick heads policy.

I don’t want him back and would be disappointed if it was the case.

I see Evan Ferguson missed a penalty for ROI. But there is some good news as Deniz Undav starred in Germany’s 2-0 away win against France in Lyon. I’m sure Pascal’s presence on the bench kept the on-field players on their toes as well.

Undav must have played a hell of a ten minutes then!

I don’t know. We were in an outstanding run when Potter was poached. It started with the.2-1 win at Arsenal and ended with that 5-2 against Leicester: 30 points from 14. Was far from an easy run of fixtures either, so I reckon there’s a good chance we’d have still been top 6.
Fair comment. As per my post, sustaining it later on I think, might have done for us.
All very hypothetical admittedly.
Amazing run of results. Shame many can’t bring themselves to acknowledge it even happened.
Who’s denying it?

Potter gets better by the week. Almost no one repeatedly reminisced about him for 15 months.

What’s changed?

It can’t be Potter, because he car crashed in his only job since. I only think that people assume RDZ’s going to resign for a bigger challenge?
Water under the bridges Potter was never going to keep his status as our worst manager. When he came we were 1 Sala goal away from well deserved relegation we had the oldest squad in the league and none of our players getting better. One year later all of us share the feeling we can go places. I dont think we should go back to Potter (but rather him than many others) but our history books will have a lot of nice words about the Ashcroft and Potter era

Every time more comes out about him, you see how completely unsuited he is do be in the role

"I mentioned Juventus and I mentioned Newcastle, which could have been a possibility and he basically told me that he’s not going to tell me what to do but he said he thinks the Premier League is a lot more difficult, a more competitive league."

This is a quote from Phillips, he mentions Munich as well

That's our national team coach telling a player that West Ham is a better option than Juve and Munich

He of course picked Henderson when in Saudi.

He's a complete joke.

Indeed. He’s on fire at the moment. 14 goals in 22 games at club level.

Not a big mistake from Dunk imho Maguire many far far worse just didnt get punished. Ok the header is bad but its not terrible. But what happens then is he is our only defender trying to keep a shape and offside trap. All the other defenders competing to keep the Brazilians onside
